What have you done to your P5 today?

My P5 is going to miss her older twin...

At least yours is continuing to look better and better, and I've replaced mine with something kinda fun.

It really sucks that it broke, but at least it was running the dragon and not putting around town.

Nah...brakes aren't going anywhere...I must say though...they did quite a good job...are they bigger than the P5 brakes or what...I never did have front brakes to compare when I put the on so I couldn't see them side by side...

Hopefully you can get all that resolved. There is absolutely NO reason that motor should have crapped out on you if it was in the condition he said it was in. Especially after all the work you had to do to it the first time it broke. Best of luck and keep us updated.

As far as my P5 goes, I just bought 10 qts of transmission fluid and the filter kit as well as 2 gals of premixed coolant. Complete transmission and coolant flush to be done tomorrow considering neither has been changed for at least 50,000 miles (boom08). Total of everything came to 87 dollars which I was very very pleased with.

god i wish i could find a set of msp calipers at a good price...or at least the rears.....i would just get the 626 fronts and buy new blank rotors....i'm gonna have to redo my brakes here in the next month or 2......and i'ld rather do them right....just in case i do go the 'fast' route lata on.....i wanna be able to stop even faster

and yes i know all the other things to do.....but i would still like the bigger brakes

I got these with brand new pads/rotors off of zeemazdafarum for $200...great freaking deal...I actually needed them bad as mine were siezed up from sitting so long...

Just put mine up on Craigslist. :(

not yet, i have to go pull um off the p5 tomorrow. Its only 2 pieces btw (the radio trim one and the one for around the shifter)(cool)

ok soo.. got another new exhaust kinda... insatlled the new tpv turbo muffler from vibrant a vibrant resonator and a magnaflow resonator from the obx header back.... loading a video and pics now
 
Looks good, man. But is that an electrical outlet box on the passenger side of your motor???

How do you like the shift knob that low on the lever?

Yes that is an electrical box (lol) The original owner had the car up in Alaska for some time and installed it due to the bellow freezing temps. There were 3 cords plugged into it, haven't traced them all out yet but one I know for sure is for a heater pad on the oil pan. Apparently he would plug it into DC at night and the pad and whatever else would keep the car safe from those temps.

I love the height, actually I specifically got the M1 Abrams knob so that I could keep it as low as possible.
 
Mad an exhaust video but i reallly dont like it.. ive come to realzie.. doesnt give the full sound... its also only has about 30 miles on it.. so it prob needs to break in...but its not that bad at all!!

Well my dumbass broke a fitting on the radiator last night. The one that comes out for the transmission "cooler". Since I installed a seperate cooler I could have just bypassed it and called it a day but I didn't think of that before I punctured a hole in the radiator trying to retrieve the rest of the fitting. I JB welded the two fittings to stop the leaking and let it cure overnight. Drove it home from my uncle's garage and parked to see that the coolant started leaking through one of the places where I JB welded it. Called advance this morning and they have one that'll be here Sunday morning. I am officially an idiot.

EDIT: I will see how the new radiator holds up but if it springs a leak, I will try to get my money back and just buy a corksport. I would've done it right away but I need the car by Monday since I go back to school for summer quarter.
 
Ok...question time...again...

03 Automatic P5 motor...no tranny...will swap into my 03 5-Speed P5 correct or no...

The motor I went and looked at today is out of an automatic and has a 90 day guarantee to run...just want to make sure that the Auto motor will mate up to the tranny I have...

Please let me know guys...trying to get this thing fixed again...
 
I think I remember something about there not being some hole for where the tranny hooks up to the motor. Like the auto has 2 and the manual has 3. I also think I remember someone said they just drilled a new hole but I could be completely wrong.
 
Sounds about right...I forgot that the bad motor we just put in came from an auto...and we had to drill that extra hole...not sure what I was thinking when I posted...now I just have to arrange picking it up...
