What have you done to your non-mazda today?

I got better mileage than that in the Mustang!

Eh, to be honest I'm surprised it's that good. It's high strung, crazy short geared engine / drivetrain. 6th gear at 80 is @ 4500 RPM. On the up-side, when you hit the throttle going up a hill on the interstate in top gear, it will actually do something, as opposed to the protege which would usually just stay the same speed lol

I bought the set of im gaskets and 4 ngk plugs and a nice sri filter for my dsm/eclipse, now I have to install them and I will soon buy a radiator for it too and hopefully it will be back on the road in the next month as a daily driver so I can park the van and take care of the problems I have with the van.

Got the engine mount plate ands misc. interior panels. Filled the mounts with urethane now time to put the engine mounts in and drop the axles to drop the tranny.

Finally got a day free enough to drop the tranny out of it. The torque convertor is shot. (bang)

Replaced two driver side doors, the driver side front fender and the trunk to repair half of the $8,000 worth of hail damage. All for less than $600 because I 'know people' :P

LOL, all this discussion about fuel economy. I drove from Cinci, OH to Blacksburg, VA and back last weekend in my '09 Tacoma and averaged 19.23 mpg there and 20.25 mpg on the way back with the A/C. Average speed was a little under 70 mph. Not too bad considering it's rated 14/19. GIve me a flat highway and a 60 mph speed limit and I'm sure I could hit 22-24 mpg, haha!

Weight reduction ????(shrug)

I don't think those pictures were quite big enough. You can't quite see them with the naked eye from outer space...

It is all about the details.

Doing a complete rebuild on the car?

Whats your list of Fixes/upgrades?

Yes but not on that car. I also got a 95 Talon. It had a bad torque convertor. So i bought the donor car in the pic (97 eclipse) for $220 with a blown motor and a manual trans. Parting out what i do not need. But in the process i got to swap wiring harness and everything (absolutly everything) to convert the 95 auto to run a 97 manual ecu. I put new bearings, oil pump, injectors, plugs, hoses and new gaskets in the talon. I am staying with the 420A and not going for the 4G63. I hate DSM nothing is interchangeable. Building it to be my daily so i can take the MP3 off the road for KL swap. Atleast i should break even on this project.

Well what I did not do was work on the eclipse instead I walked by it and told it to go f@k it self and then I changed the spark plugs on my van.

On Friday I finally swapped on my new Hankook RS2s. Pretty good tires :D
