What have you done to your MSP today?

sorry to hear that. yep when it rains it pours. somehow a simple clutch replacement turned into a thousand dollar axle an hub bearing and all this other b******* replacement the fisco

yep. when i had my wheel bearing replaced, the axle got stuck to the hub. tripled the price

Met another (former) MSP owner in Austin last week during SXSW. He ran up yelling 'Mazdaspeed Protege!' and I showed him my car as we talked for a bit, used to have a titanium as well.

might have to keep my eyes open for a Pacific northwest meet somewhere. not really any love for these cars around these parts. there used to be bcprotege but i guess those guys all got tired of their cars.
I guess i could join a mazda 3 group lol.

lol, is it already a cult car? (cheers)

I think so lol..... closest msps or boosted protg I know of are the guys that live about 30-45 minutes away from me taking the interstate to get to them. other than that only other mp3 and msp ive seen are owned by guys who have riced them out. (sadbanana)

Doing a fuel cell setup as well?
IMO the MSP has been a cult car, at least the past 3 years i've had mine.

They are still popular down here, I personally know 4 MSP owners and I see others at least once a month. Seems like they are always gray, black, orange or yellow.

there's a SS one that's riced ive seen driving around my town, and a yellow MP3 that's kinda beat up and riced. double whammy....... ive never seen any other other color in this area. id love to own a spicy or laser blue. but need AWD first.

yeah. Flat = better access to the bolts for the lateral links. I've been thinking about trying to CF it (screwy)

gotcha. I bought a new replica lip from a guy on the FB group. looks really good. gonna have it cf wrapped to match my fenders and hood I still need to pick up from kyle (Outlawstar89)

anyone know a retainer is for the transmission or what its supposed to do. Im having my clutch replaced and the mechanic said i need one

maybe those little clip things that hold the clutch line in? or bracket for the slave cylinder? cant think of anything else...
axle retaining clips?

What Facebook group is this?

Ok apparently its called a oil seal retainer and it goes over the rear main seal.

The only cover I know of is the one that holds the seal and bolts to the block and the MBSP. It's pretty thin and could be broken if mishandled.

In MSP related news, it's still sitting in my driveway waiting on a transmission.
