What have you done to your MSP today?

The MS3 cap has two different styles, the screw type 07-09 that fits the Protege/Miata etc and the quick release type of the 10 and newer MS3. MSM cap is different and is the screw on type and will fit a Protege. MS6 got a lame plastic cap like the stock MSP cap

I read wrong, I didn't see you said msm! I thought it said ms3 for some reason.

Back to the manifold talk- I am actually happy with my $200 manifold. No issues as of yet and I've put about 3,500 miles on it. I did reweld the s*** out of it though. And if anyone can break it, it'll be me.

you'll blow the motor in the next 1k miles before the manifold cracks.

A local MSP buddy bought the cheapo ebay T2 manifold, we had the flanges machined true and are installing it very soon. I don't think it will last but we will see

We straight edged mine before and after the welding to see if the welding would warp the flanges and they were fine. For $200 shipped as an alternative to a cracked OE manifold and a $500+ manifold, I'm okay with that. Worse turns to worst, I can always have my OE unit repaired and reinstall it.

Was your Calloway leaking? Mine is cracked but no leaks. I figure its good stress relief until it starts leaking.

Yeah. Of the 2.5" split, it was obvious that about .5" of it was actually allowing exhaust gas to leak.

Cleaned all the salt off (popcorn)

Made a mockup AC delete panel for the firewall. Should have one made by tomorrow :)

Popped the hot pipe out of the coupler today on the way to work. Luckily it still drives alright with the massive boost leak since the MAF is relocated. Was able to limp it home since I didn't have a socket on me, I hate babying this car I can tell it wants to be driven hard!

got my wingless trunk painted and about ready to be mounted up

Did yours get the axle stuck in it too, LOL? I realized my axle is seized to the knuckle when I went to replace the clutch. What a pain, I had to remove the whole knuckle from the car, just to pull the axle.

I had that happen on my P5... Both axles weren't coming out... Air hammer, torch, penetrating oil... Wouldn't work... Then I got the sledge out and me and a friend beat the s*** out of it for 30 minutes until it came lose... The best part? It mushroomed the axle, so I had to use an angle grinder to grind it down for it to slide out of the hub... The 6 was the same way. I actually ended up leaving them in the hub when I put the engine in.

But concerning the MSP. I got a decent tune right now. Started with one of the maps from the stickied post and made a few adjustments. It's still not anywhere near what it should be, but it's not bogging down and running incredibly rich right now. It's at least drivable. Ordered all new exhaust gaskets due to a leak and figure I'll replace all the gaskets while I'm there for one. Also bought an exhaust flange to move mine back a little further to gain some room.
