the extractor is harder than almost any drill bit that you are going to find. What style of extractor is it? the reverse threaded one or tapered tap in one? you might be able to spot weld some metal on it to be able to spin it out, or tap it with a small chisel and thread it out, or if you have room drill beside it to remove it and re thread the hole after. I have removed a broken one before in a transfer case with a carbide bit in a dremel, took an hour or so and had to helicoil it after but it worked.
Its the reverse threaded one. Its too deep in the hole to do any welding.
Doesn't seem like there is any room on the side because the bits are doing no damage.I went looking for cold chisels, but I think they weren't small enough. Found a quarter inch wood chisel, but I didn't wanna waste money if it wasn't strong enough for metal. I have a few cobalt bits but no carbide. This really sucks. I might just let 4 bolts hold the DP on instead of 5.
Hi,
I just bought a 2003 mazdaspeed protege with 60k miles on it, about three weeks ago. It is all stock other than the susdpention, i was wondering where i would basicly start to improve proformance and get the best bang for my buck as well. On a tight budget.... would the first step be getting an intercooler kit with piping..? i have found one on ebay for $160 with 2.5 piping... is that worth me getting? Is there anyone who could help me out on this one?
yeah it is red, so thats all stock then, not to bad. So where would i start, for performance... some extra HP, and i have been reading all those other postings about the spark plugs as well and it seems like some ppl are saying one kind, others are saying def do not use those and use this other one alos... So i got confused on that as well lol
define tight budget cause you may just want to leave it alone
yeah.......kinda low lol
yeah it does suck
got a 115k mile motor for $100 from a msp from a local friend. motor ran great till he wrecked the car
anyone got the link where to get the mideval or what ever they are called now motor mounts?
