What have you done to your MSP today?

I'll take some pics of the two hose locations when I get off work. I'm probably going to join the two hoses together.

I did that method where I looped the block outlet (that connects to TB inlet) to the coolant neck inlet on side of block over trans. I forgot where they came from but Corksport or SU used to send out little black caps (free if you made some certain purchase at that time) that you can put over the TB inlet outlet to clean it up. You can easily source those caps at any hardware store if you wanted them, they just clean it up if you feel it is odd to see open ports in the engine bay but serves no other purpose, maybe rust prevention inside that channel at most.

Thats why i hooked the other line back up to the TB, to keep stuff out of it. You cant even see it under all the wires and hoses in there anyway.

oh ok, thanks guys for the suggestions/help, I will take a look at that when I am free next, to connect the coolant hoses, what kind of connector do you use, is there a universal coolant connection thing that I can find at the auto store because I assume the vac connectors definitely won't work lol, and for capping off the TB ports which is what I would do because it would just bug me too much to see/or know of open ports there can I use the vac block caps like I have on the injen intake (I have a breather on the valve cover and I don't use the stock bpv, so there are 2 caps on the intake, the rubber ones from autzone)?

thanks again, it seems pretty easy, but it's nice to get as much info as possible before you do something semi-new, I've taken these cars apart competely to the frame, when I totaled my first msp so that helped in understanding, as well as doing all the mods myself, but little things like this are good to get info on, mainly since I'm not in any rush to go out and just start playing with it

could someone take a pic of where the TB coolant hoses is re-routed to so I can get a visual, I was thinking about that before when I was doing my intake mani, but I didn't know what it was for or why someone would do that, but if all it is doing is heating up the TB with the coolant, than I would rather just take it off, the coolant's gotta be warmer than the air in the cold pipe a majority of the time I would think.. so gotta have some small benefit to it, + it gives me something to do now lol

It won't look the same if your head is motor is together but those are the lines.

No problem, if you do it the way I did it you don't need any clamps or caps or anything, just use the stock hoses and re-route them.

ok sweet, and ya that sucks seeing your engine in pieces but oh well, will be better once it's all fixed. and thanks for the video, I'm a very visual person lol, makes much more sense in my head now, usually have to get into it before it really clicks

should be nice and easy re-routing the coolant hoses, then I just need to re-tune my car because it's slow as balls hitting 10 afr.. it sucks

Wasnt sure if anyone has posted them before but for anyone interested here's some pics of the Weapon-R Coolant Catch Can. Its an awesome piece.

My car hits 9afrs, I also really need a tune

^^ damn , how do you even see 9afr, I assume mine is down there too because it blanks out sometimes from slight fuel cut, but the WB only shows 10.0 as the lowest

and I didn't get that coolant top with my catch can! I want one lol, but they are nice

The catch can doesnt need to be mounted at a specific height right? I dont want to mount it too low or high and cause it not to work but I'm pretty sure it doesnt matter because the radiator will pull from the overflow via pressure, not gravity.

I see they changed the design a bit from when i got mine.

Your's looks nicer but mine has a sight glass which is nice cause you'll find out it isn't fun to open it after a little while due to driving temps and just metal on metal threads of that size start to wear on each other over time and it gets harder to open. Not impossible to open mind you just seems to stick easier after some time.
