What have you done to your MSP today?

how did yours act before you changed it? mine is very sporadic at idle. like bounces from around 200 rpms to 900rpms for around 10 seconds then evens out

Didn't have issues when cold, but once hot the idle would just be s***. Not every time, but about half the time I would pull up to lights, the rpms would just rhythmically bounce from ~0 to 1000. It wouldn't die but it would just keep bouncing rhythmically every 2-3 secs, like that. Was very annoying @ red lights, lol. Almost made it seem like I was revving it on purpose like that, which made me feel like a jackass... lol

I would like to know the symptoms of a bad IAC as well. For whatever reason my car's idle went to s*** after changing the pass. motor mount saturday. It idles then it stumbles some but doesn't ever die, it runs fine when not idling. I only got one CEL that hasn't yet returned, P0171. Also while coasting in neutral and slowing down the engine doesn't settle to idle as quickly as before, it stays at about 1100 rpm and then drops.

This doesn't necessarily sound like the IAC, but it could be. Vac leak around the intake mani, maybe? Have you checked for cracks around the VICS actuator on the IM? I've heard of hairline cracks there.

how do people keep killing their LSD. i know the stock 1 is weak but damn. im going on nearly 60k on the stocker. but then again i use redline for the trans so......

My second one lasted over 2 years. Held up well to 221 ft-lbs tq for as long as it did. I wish I would have welded it before hand.

So im thinking of buying a Security camera for my MSP. I would like to keep it around or under 200 bucks it must be able to at least see at least 25 feet at night and come with a DVR wireless would be nice but not required. You all got any ideas?

try newegg.com, ive ordered stuff from them and have always received it on the third day. also very cheap. if the camera you end up getting isnt bright enough at night you can always go out and buy more infrared LEDs and hook them up separately, thats all a night vision camera is anyway. since the human eye, and most animals for that matter cant see the wavelength of infrared but electronics such as cameras can.(cool)

I ended up just swapping a new TB w/ the iac. The screws holding the IAC on are bitches. soft little phillips screws, TERRIBLE design. I used needle nose channel locks to remove the old screws, and replaced them with allen/hex screws. Much much better that way.

The problem with my crappy idle is that it happened all of a sudden, right after replacing the pass. motor mount. I cleaned off a bunch of gunk on the outside of the turbo and removed the intake and hot pipe but they are all tight and shouldn't leak. I will check the VICS, VTCS bulls***, I really think the MSP deserved the same intake mani the MP3s got.

After 8 years of the MSP, I sold it Sunday, get paid this week and car will be gone. Sold it for 4,000.
It's been fun, driving a base model 2010 sentra for now just stacking money, getting another degree(bachelor in criminal justice to get a better job) and I'll come back hard in a few years with another fast car. Just gonna lease cars so I can get a new one every 3 years and always have a warranty. Farewell people! Was fun.

It had a bad master and slave. Sooner or later the lsd will go. Needs new battery. And sold it to a homeboy (he installs parts for free, gives me free parts, I'm bein a good friend) not someone I don't know. 4k is straight. Plus I'm selling the pope downpipe when it arrives to the guy who bought it. I got a brand new car, just gonna drive it and stack money. Time to grow up, a little. I also got 2 sets of amber side markers if anyone wants and an Evo hood that needs work all 3 for dirt cheap PM me if you want. Local Florida people only.
