What have you done to your MSP today?

How did the cracked exhaust manifold affect your car while boosting?

Those two always back out/break for some reason or another... its werid.

well i it made like a wierd surging/bumpbumpbump sound ( hard to explain in word) but now with the newer mani on it seems to have cut that down some, but i get the same sound but very lightly between 9.2-10psi. sooo on to the next problem i guess.

put in my slim fan for the AC, discovered I have no refrigerant. no idea when the last time it worked was, but it was a while ago I'm sure.

ok othe then sound did it really affect how the car ran in boost?

swapped the wga out today with the atp. thing kinda sketched me out cause the rod was longer than the stocker ha.

getting the clip off kinda sucked because i went out and bought a set of snap ring pliars expecting to use em on this, but ended up just blindly sticking my hand up and pushing the clip off lol.

getting the arm on the wg itself was the more agrivating part. had to pretty much do it by feel, one hand tugging the arm of the wga to get it on.

replaced the shared vac hose for the wga/cbpv all the way to the manifold.

boost holds steady at between 7 and 8 psi *might have a vac leak somewhere still and boost response seems better too. maybe the torn diaphram stopped the wg from actually closing all the way.

paired with new hydraulic fluid yesterday, a productive weekend under the msp.

it feels like the boost is holding steady longer, while with the cracked mani if would spike then fall, example was last week on a stretch of road 5500rpm held 7psi then droped to 5 then 7 while still at 5500rpm... so my guess was the mani...

mine does that too. i have a nice big crack right between 2/3 so its a banshee at wot.
apparently its not that cheap to weld up and repair cast iron. and it doesnt last that long. but i might try to make a new manifold soon with my friends mig. gotta get back into welding. miss it.

car ticks pretty bad between 2-3k rpm when you give it gas. its not lifter tick. seems to go away after the car has warmed up a lot and the intercooler heatsoaked completely.

is this detonation?

That's probly related to the crack in your mani.

my endlinks and maf couplers came today! pretty insane shipping on the endlinks though....dropped in the mailfriday in hawaii in south carolina monday.....

oil change (mobile1 full synth), lowered rear about 2.5" lol still rockn the rake but im good with it for now, also fixed my front strut plate(yellow dot was facing out and front when it was suppose to be out and rear).

tracked it yesterday. brakes were the weak point. gotta get on the ball wit the ms6 upgrade
