What have you done to your MSP today?

^^thats the route im going to take. Im just waiting for funds to roll in and ill pickup the boostscience rdv. Then weld a larger opening on the intake. The turbolife has a 1.25" opening so that'll be fine. Does it matter if the opening is on the hotpipe or coldpipe?

msp2k3 - Yea i heard that bov and it sounds really good. Way better than greddy and hks. But I really dont want to cut up the turbolife piping.

sorry i missed this, I have mine on the hotpipe, im not sure about coldpipe, My plan was from 505Zoom, he would know if the coldipe is ok to use. Make sure the fitting on the air intake pipe is 1.25 also

ya cold pipe is fine to use too, doesn't really matter, if you have a choice, use the hot pipe, and put the MAF relocated on the cold pipe, so the release of air from the BOV or whatever on the hotpipe is further away from the MAF b/c it's on the hotpipe... generally speaking..

I'm with you on that, i dont want to cut up my piping either. I did however had the MAM FMIC installed before the turbolife and it ran pretty damn good. I had the MAF relocated to the cold pipe, HKS SSQV on the hotpipe, Boost science recirculated from the intake to the hotpipe.

I have a Boost science still but not installed. I need to get a larger opening on the injen. I hope this makes the car run smoother. I'm still having issues with running 10.0 rich before i hit boost, and sometimes while in boost and the car doesnt want to go anywhere. But sometimes it runs tits. I wonder if i relocate the MAF it will run better, but then again i dont want to cut my piping.

We should hook up sometime and drive each others cars, im curious to see if we have the same issues.

^^ ya I have some similar issues with mine, sometimes it runs great, othertimes it runs crazy rich and it hits fuel cut like crazy, I am really hoping I just need to actually tune the ssafc and for the weather to stay somewhat steady instead of going from 30-40 at night to 50 during the day, and then to 60at night to 75+ during the day.. all within a week or 2.. crazy weather..

well, didnt actually do anythin TO it, cuz im deployed, but i jus recently bought a CF Evo hood for it,CF grill, CB eyelids, Buddyclub Bodykit, CF spoiler, momo steering wheel, and a couple other things.... i basically jus spent my entire deployment money on it..lol

^^Dont you love it when it runs great! There are times when i step on it to pass someone and it freakn hauls ass. But then there are times when i step on it and nothing, its like shes got a cramp in her and stumbles.

sell the buddyclub kit... please? lol

I think the BC2 kit looks good if done properly. Falango rocks it and it looks tits. Just please, no chicken wire.

There wouldnt be any need to have the fitting on the air intake be larger than one inch, since the in & out on the RDV are 1". If the nipple is larger than 1" it might require a reducer type fitting to neck down to the RDV, which would represent a pointless additional expense.

I only say that so the air flows smoother since he already has a 1.25 on the coldpipe

if you want the air to flow better imo you should get a port and pollish. did my throttle body and it runs alot smoother all of the time. random: i have the clunk just like the rest of us, learned today i have a broken exhaust hanger also when i looked under my car, so there is constant noise comming from the back of my car from exhaust moving around and hitting things. its like the clunk but clunkyier now.

So I had my dad inspect the spark plug wires I bought and told me they were wrong lol. They simply don't work for our car even though they are "4 cylinder universal".

Would anybody be able to point me in the right direction of what I would need to do the 1.8L coil pack conversion? I was reading through this: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123650373&highlight=1.8+valve+cover+swap

but I'm still confused since the pictures seem to be deleted from the thread. Does anybody know of a website where I can buy all I need to do the conversion? This is pretty much what I want:

Sounds good. We can meet up and drive each others cars. My car doesnt get rich before boost but when i am in boost. Its fine until i get up to 7psi when it gets really rich(WOT). Pm me ur number and we can go driving. I usually go driving with NotYellow and Chris(Blue msp). Go to the ssafc thread and try Jays Summer Map. Its pretty good. I think the weather has a lot to do with our rich readings. Somedays it will run good and some it gets crazy rich for no apperent reason. Im trying to learn how to tune. I just need to make a few tweaks at WOT.

Edit: Wanna sell me the the boostscience rdv? hehe.

Cool. Ill try fidning a 1.25" od piping. I need to find a place that welds aluminum.

Ricktalife - I think Fatti did that conversion. I think u need a 626 vc to do the conversion. I dont know too much. But i think he'll be the best dude to help u out.

for the MSP owners with an aftermarket short shifter, how much of a difference did you notice in the short shifter? i know the mp3/msp shifter is shorter than normal proteges so i was wondering if it was THAT MUCH more of a difference for an MSP owner to go with an aftermarket one
