What have you done to your MSP today?

+1...
I don't believe the presence or absence of a BOV would have any impact whatsoever on how long the turbo takes to spool up.

He was saying it would spool up quicker. But when i drove his car i didnt feel much of a difference. I can tell he had an exhaust leak tho.

My car ran smoother when i relocated my MAF and switched to a bov, alot less jerky between shifts as well.

The turboXs rfl responds alot faster between shifts than the stock valve did, I can say that.

anything is better than the stock bpv, im a firm believer in the boostsciences rdv with larger fittings on the hotpipe and air intake pipe

^^thats the route im going to take. Im just waiting for funds to roll in and ill pickup the boostscience rdv. Then weld a larger opening on the intake. The turbolife has a 1.25" opening so that'll be fine. Does it matter if the opening is on the hotpipe or coldpipe?

msp2k3 - Yea i heard that bov and it sounds really good. Way better than greddy and hks. But I really dont want to cut up the turbolife piping.

got my new Carbon Fiber Grille installed last night :)

Yup, had to get rid of em for my 03.5 lip :)

you could have modded the 03.5 lip. Just sayin. thats what I am eventually going to do after I get the motor done.

$880 left on the loan. the day is comming But I will be gone next month so no money being spent for a while.

I don't see a 03.5 lip. (huh) Am I blind/stupid?

There are brackets they make to mount fogs with the 03.5 lip. No cutting of the lip necessary. G3 brackets, IIRC. Focus used to source them, I think?

Just didn't want the fogs anymore, they needed to be replaced anyway. I had to cut the back of the bumper for the piping to the intercooler. The lip isnt on there yet, im waiting to get it painted along with the front and rear bumper when my rear bumper gets fixed.

stock fogs and the 03.5 lip occupy the same physical space... so that wouldn't work.

This is why I am trimming/cutting the lip. I don't want to get rid of the fogs. Just need to get new ones with out holes or rock chips would be nice.

Are thet stock fogs though?

Yes

Here's a link I found. If I understand correctly, these mount the stock 03/MP3/p5 fogs, with the 03.5 lip with no cutting required...
