like the speedometer ones?
where did you get them from and what are the part numbers?

How many bulbs are normally used? You see, I thought the dimness was just the way the car is. Is it possible to throw a different color in there or is it a red film? I hate red interior lighting.
there is the color condom on the bulb and the faces are tinted too so throwing in a different color bulb wont do the trick, i think you can sand down the back of the gauge faces to make it work though
won't do what trick? increased light output is increased light output.

changing the color of the gauges
i beg to differ
...4 bulbs like I said
Each bulb has a red condom over them but I believe the gauge faces have a little bit of red tinge to them. The light output sucks big time because its only 4 bulbs. However adding gauge rings helps immensly which is why its such a sought after item.
I know, I read that before. Let me rephrase, how many bulbs would a normal 4 door compact sedan have?
And one would think that by simply removing the red "condom" off the bulb would suffice to making it brighter since there is already a red tint.
Lastly, how would the DaveB gauge rings help this cause?
