4 hours?? OUCH. damn dude. w/ the hot car took me about2 hours..Probably not because I was gonna go up to Harrisburg where my friend has a lift we can use to do it. I'd do it on a jack + stands, but the leverage might be weird. I wanted to throw some $$ your way to help me out yesterday, but I needed it done ASAP. I definitely didn't want to be driving around at 14psi. Just an accident waiting to happen...
Yeah, I'm interested to see what the boost gauge tells me (when I get it)
Learn to drive? (freak)
I wish I would have taken pictures now, but we got it done. Only major part we got hung up on was getting this freakin c-clamp off of the arm the WGA hooks onto. The b**** was in the most inaccessible spot evAr and took us nearly 2 hours of fighting to get it back on. We also cut the old WGA control arm with bolt cutters cause I was too lazy to undo the nut on the one end...
Some words of advice are to be careful with your hot-pipe, as I sheered off the nub that goes to the BPV tube and had to epoxy it back on. I ordered a Samco pipe to replace it. Also, you're gonna want to remove the #1 O2 sensor and the heat shield (as well as the left-side engine hoist ring) to make it more accessible. Its definitely a bit of a pain in the ass because there's NO room in that engine, but honestly, we figured it out without a guide or service manual. I'm sure there's an easier way (like dropping the whole turbo system out of the car) but we did what made sense to us. Total work time was about 4 hours.
anyways, at least it's done. listen, if you want me to do it, i'll do it. no issues.. i'll have it apart and together in no time and have you back on the road, w/ a very fair price.
