What have you done to your MSP today?

Dropped her off at the bodyshop to get the rear bumper fixed...lady winged it in the parking deck here at work. At least she left a note and is paying for the repair & rental...I think it'll be done Wednesday afternoon...

on another note, just got off the phone with velocity factor, and the stories are infact true...GHL is no longer in production. BUT another company is going to make my exhaust (i think the name was BGM) and it should be here in about a week or 2 at the latest. yay!

yea my car started running like s*** today. i think it's related to the high temps we've been having the past few days. whenever i push the clutch in coming to a red light/stop sign it tries to stall on me. plus the intercooler seems to be holding back on me even more than usual (heatsoak i mean). my dad suggests that i should get a tune up. he said i could start by cleaning the injectors and getting new spark plugs. any other advice?

edit: also the turbo doesn't make the little flutter that it usually does. i guess it's the turkey that i'm talking about, doesn't quite sound like it to me.

is the car sitting low at idle too? And I think your the MSP with like 20k on it right? If thats the case, you should be more than fine on the injector and belt front, but it never hurts to inspect. I would def. inspect the MAF and BPV to make sure everything is tight and flowing smoothly. You can also pick up MAF sensor cleaner at Pep Boys for under $10

...and I hear ya on the high temps, I would be the one to break my A/C a week before this random April heat wave...haha
 
reciceved my Perrin Stencil for my FMIC, sprayed the perrin logo on the FMIC, replaced valve cover gasket, found missing nut for the strut bar, fixed my massive exhuast leak(some how two bolts backed completely out and jumped ship), lightly cleaned engine bay.... and I think thats it.... Tomorrow I will re-adjust my SRI a little.

Good save. I just remember seeing pics of your pipes and they looked weird. Not the placement, but the finish.

It appears to have been wrecked by the previous owner at some time and point. THe pipe that looks werid was the hot pipe... its exhuast pipe which can been seen below.


Edit: Which would explain the exhaust hot pipe, chrome headlights, and a few other odds and ends.

yep, full turboback! the status as of today was that the company is making the downpipe. i also got a call from SU today and told them i'm canceling my order...bitches.

the car idle is way low and it stalls out after a little bit too. it also stalls whenever i push in the clutch coasting to a redlight/stop sign. and the worst part is that i can barely accelerate, and when i do manage to accelerate...i smell this horrible stench coming from the exhaust. my friend (also my technician) thinks it's the MAF, but he pulled it out tonight and said it seemed okay to him. he's gonna look hook it up to another CEL code reader and see if he can monitor it tomorrow.

oh yea, i'm the dude with 15k, not 20k (evil)
 
it was crooked on the stencil to... lol oh well s*** happens. The stencil covered the entire front of the FMIC and all the edges where lines up.

Im just bustin your balls, if you had not said anything I probably would not have noticed, it is only off by a little
 
you're a bastard. I've put more than that on my car in less than a year. lol. at least mine has been running long enough to do that!!!

LOL! yea trust me my car has had its fair share of problems. it's my ******* DD and i've only put about 6k on it since i bought it in august.
 
got 2 guys seriously interested in the turbo kit.. won't sell for what i need for the msp.. so my g/f is gonna pull out a loan for me to get the rest of the $$ together for it..

HOPEFULLY it sells tonight.. we'll see!
