SSAFC lets you adjust the tune, so if your AFRs are off, just tweak em so they're better.
ah, i get that, actually done a lot of reading this week on just this unit but my car is bone stock so i'm just worried that running leaner mixtures with the afc with stock everything else would do bad things.
but i guess its a win win black box. better performance across the board and probably better fuel economy with less liquid fuel going out the back heh.

i wouldn't do ANYTHING to the tune without a wideband, preferably datalogged.

truth. just use a stock supermap for now. then go ahead and get a wideband and tune.

I need a SSAFC... Once I put the SMIC on (Arrives at my buddy's house today!!!!) I'm gonna prolly need a tune.
This is all assuming I have a job in 3 weeks.

I know, but I'd rather tune it after I have the SMIC on to get it set up for the parts on the car. I need to save money though

the tune won't change a whole lot with the SMIC... I'd put it on whenever you have a chance, and then just look at the AFRs and retune it a bit when the SMIC upgrade is on.

Gotcha... if you guys spy a used SSAFC, let me know cause I need it.
Though I do like it when the car backfires when I downshift around 2000 rpm... I scare the s*** out of people on the sidewalks. hehe.

well i threw a CEL today pulling into work.

bank 1 sensor 1
the tech that put the mani in thinks that the 02 sensor is either bad, or not getting enough airflow. i don't want to bash on steedspeed but maybe the one i bought is goofed? hopefully it's just a bad 02 sensor.
