hmm. i have a carbon trunk with the 03.5 wing on my pro. and i just hit the popper, and go pull it up.. no issues..

I have the EVO8 spoiler on it, LOL isn't it a Lil heaver? and also i want it to stay up when i have it up, I have a plastic tube to help hold it up and I don't like it, makes it look dirtier haha.

if the trunk latch is adjustable on these cars (I haven't looked) move the latch down a bit, and use a soft rubber that will act like a spring to pop the trunk out of the latch. I think you're lookin at that or a linear actuator.. and now you're talking fab and bulls***...

I might just add a damper to it... should work. If not ohwell, atleast I tryed. And I tryed to put a sping to have it Pop, and it worked a littlebit, sometimes it didnt work. But I just wait to pop the trunk and have it go up and STAY up, On its own.

nrg dampeners will prolly work. to hold it up. but it's gotta be popped to a certain point i would think, for those to take over the lifting.

hmmm maybe both? some sort of spring to pop it outa the latch, and a damper to hold it..
NO clue what length damper you'd want, but it should be doable to mount to one of the trunk lid arms... long as you can find a location to mount the other.

I know where I will mount the Dampers easly, On the Arms for the Trunk cage I have, it wont hurt anything at all. I have to save up some $ and test it out.

the other end would be the difficult part to place... so that the range of motion will get you what you're looking for, but not hold back whatever popping mechanism you use...

Ill prob just put the 2 dampers on each side, and hope it pops it, if not.... Ill cry cause i have to find a way to make it pop Hahahaha

new thought: see if theres a way you could install a spring on the trunk arms? ideally one that would only contact it near the closed position..

Ill look into it more when I get more $$, only 200$ in my bank for 2 more weeks LOL, damn shop killed my bank when i had things installed, but the rest of the trunk thing will be after i get the Carbon roof installed

i plan on calling the body shop tomorrow to get an update. i haven't checked on my baby for over a week and they said it should be done sooner than 2 weeks so hopefully it will be back to me soon
where did you say you are getting your lip? i've already decided to go without it so i can get me some fog lights but i'm just curious.
