What have you done to your MSP today?

ordered 2' of 1" ID silicone pipe, 8' of vac line, and two worm clamps. Also gave up on finding barbed fittings for my vibrant block, I have been to home depot, loews, autozone, pep boys, advance auto, napa, local hardware store and no luck finding a fitting that screws in. I have been looking for the 1/8" NPT thread fittings but it only goes in for two threads then stops, 3/16" is too big too and I cant find anything smaller. so im just gonna buy a brass T fitting for the brake booster until i finally find the barbed fitting for my vac block. oh well

called and made appt for my car to get fittings welded on hotpipe and intake for my rdv

noticed a little smoke coming from the front passenger side the last two days from what i thought was under the hood. took a look under the hood and didn't see anything unusual, soot, burning, smells. then i noticed some shaking and vibration after driving the car for like 20 minutes. thought that was from rotating my tires over the weekend, and figured i needed an alignment. then i put two and two together and figured it had to be the brakes. sure as s*** the front passenger side is sticking and getting hot as balls by the time i get to work. just had the rear calipers fixed too like 3 months ago. guess it's time to look at the fronts.

Be careful with that. I had the same issue and couldn't figure out what the deal was. Until I smelled the brakes cooking, and the massive cloud off smoke off my roasted brakes. Then I found the Cracked almost new crossed drilled rotor!! I ended up engine braking and using the E-Brake the rest of the way.

sounds like alot of bad stuff..... I just tried to break in the new clutch and flywheel....lol cant wait to romp that b****. Who should I try first in Alabama? the 85 chevy pickup? or the 83 v6 mustang with exhaust lol!!!

I had the same problem when I made my vacuum block. Go to www.mcmaster.com and click on "Hose fittings." They have everything you'll need and super fast shipping. That's where I got everything I needed.

that's exactly how i've been stopping, e-brake and down shifting early. went right to the mechanic after work yesterday, he's got it on the lift now. thank god.

I had to eventually have all calipers replaced on my 02 Protege ES because of this.

Not a Msp..but my dad's 2.0 automatic 2002 focus zts son. lol

Ordered coilovers for it,and a sick looking header and dp for the Ford. It has 365,000 miles by the way and runs like new.

Can't wait to put the headers on and I already have a mufler to put on it.

My dad will be pissed.

Just got back to the house from tearing her down. I'll actually pull the tranny off in the morning but I got everything out of the way tonight. I pulled the Ksports off as well, I need something else on there when it goes back together.

Just out of curiousity, how does this happen? Is this something that can happen on stock boost and what-not or is this a result of medium to heavy modding?

Reason I ask is because I see alot of folks with MSP's who say their engines blow at like 150K or so and my miles are not quite there but it's getting there rapidly.

well, third gear is the weak link but since you have so many miles on a mostly stock ride I think you'll be ok if it hasn't already broke. It's a combination of things really. I don't rag my car daily but it has seen it's share of hard driving.
