What have you done to your MSP today?

I did a restoration detail. I spent roughly 4 hours completely detailing every aspect of the car that is seen on a daily basis. Pulled the front seats out, shampoo and vac, nook and cranny plastic detail, hot water bath for the wheels to remove brake dust, and a mild cut and buff followed by a mean wax job. Car looks and smells just like it would have back in 03.

All that work and no pics? Car gets dirty in no time. Pictures preserve so get some sexy pics of your car. HAH

i wish i had the time for that..oh wait..i will...

I thought about taking some pics with the drivers side cleaned and the passenger side still dirty to give an accurate comparison. But, I will at least take some pics. Be back soon.

I got my MSP up on two wheels at 50 MPH. I was on a 3 lane parkway passing a BMW 5-series on his right. He was in the middle lane. In the far left lane, there was a heifer cow in a minivan yakking on her phone going roughly 20 mph. The truck behind her decides he wants to pass, but decides to do so without checking his mirrors or turning his head. So he gets over on the BMW, who has no recourse but to come over into my lane, where I'm attempting to pass... I stood on the brakes and got as close to the curb as possible but it wasn't enough, the BMW needed ALL of my lane.

I went into the curb hard to avoid the Beemer. I launched into the air really, really high. Curbed the living crap out of my wheel. I came down hard and rode half in the road and half in the grass/curb for a hundred or so feet until the Beemer could make room...

I finally get back onto the road and turnoff onto the next street. The Beemer actually followed me to make sure everything was alright. Aside from a curbed, there was no damage whatsoever. I figured my front lip was toast, but it was unscathed. Stock ride height FTW.

@least the BMW stopped... 99% of people would have either NOT noticed, or not cared. So kudos to that guy...

Well that was nice of em to follow you and make sure you were ok, most people would just speed off... yea you might wanna double check and make sure your axles aren't FUBARed.

Definitely go get everything checked.

My final pair of rotors finally came in today! Rotora slotted rotors and PosiQuiet brake pads will be installed this coming Thursday.

I'm having them installed at a mechanic's shop, who's a long-time family friend. I just hope the steel wheels haven't rusted onto the hubs again like they did last year .. My dad and I had to literally beat them off with a sledgehammer. It was priceless.

Thanks for the advice. I plan to put up on t3h jackstands and take a good look at it this weekend.

It was hella cool of the BMW guy to stop and I thanked him as he was leaving. Considerate motorists are rare these days.

Not when you buy Brembos and they are just straight steel, no coating on the rotor hat or anything so they'll rust in about 3 hours in Rochester (especially with the snow salt on the roads today).

I just added a HKS D1 rad cap and a brand new HKS SSQ BOV.

Ahh, sweeet! So im assuming thats the updated version? i figured that since they were "clearancing" the now, older version. I was wanting to pick one up, but was waiting to see what they came up with :) Me likes...

nooooo! my SSQV is now obselete! Is it just a new stylish cover or is something different "under the hood" as it were?

He says theres no more "fluttering", so im assuming they did some tweaking under the hood :)
