I think this is because you have a relocated MAF. There's so much water in the air that it fouls up the filament in there and the extra air going by only makes matters worse. If I drove through rain for long periods of time I would start to hit fuel cut at anything above 1/4 throttle. In one really bad case I actually pulled a few pints of water out of my IC. On another note I have some new beefy studs so after some work tonight I'll be back at the P5 again. I'm about sick of this manifold.
