Photoshop?!?! Such lies and deception!

found out i don't have a rod knock, got some nasty valve tick and a loose turbo manifold, lucky me!

Ahh, how much of a drop are the eibach's and how is the ride? had any problems?

heard my car purr for the first time in 9 months today, fixed the non starting problem, going to finish putting it together tomorrow..

I think I have the same problem as you, and it is driving me f'ing crazy. I thought it was a loose heat shield but every time i loosen and tighten the bolts again it only stays quiet for 2 minutes. So how do you get rid of valve tick and how do you completely remove the heat shield to access the manifold? I cannot figure out how to remove the plug running into the manifold through the hole in the bottom right corner of the heat sheild

Could someone take a pic of the location of their sparkplugs? When I changed mine yesterday I thought that it looked like someone may have rerouted my wires but I do not know what the stock line setup looks like. I am just curious about whether or not the previous owner may have done this.

That plug is the primary o2 sensor. Its best to remove it with an 02 socket. You need to remove the heat shield to get to the manifold. You have an aluminum head so make sure you dont overtighen the mani bolts. If u ask how to get to the middle 3 bottom bolts on the mani, you have to be creative, they are a pain.

Check for black spots on the head, thats a good sign theres a leak on the turbo manifold. Your gasket could be leaky too. The MSP is known also for having mani bolts missing. They just take a vacation at some point.

the msp has some sensors that tick really loud on the manifold, it could be one of those.

Valve tick can be a few things, and usually requires opening the head so u dont want to do that. An easy fix is make sure ur oil isnt low.
