What have you done to your MSP today?

got it. why not just go standalone at that point?

because an ECU does a LOT more things than ignition and fuel... and a standalone will never pass emissions. Not to mention the cost difference factor.

Yea standalone is out of the question for us that have the MSP at DD status. I too am looking at the AEM just for s**** and giggles since support has seemed to pick up. I think the AFC works great, but it's pretty limited and a good tune is key when running more than stock boost.

actualy a standalone haltech with the pnp harness from sam can be wired to only control timing and fuel so when it comes time for inspection all you have to do is unhook the pnp harness(looks like a T) and remove the haltech and plug in the stocker to the factory ecu.

with the pnp harness you can control what ever you want it just has to wired for it. and full standalone when you can afford it means you dont have to say in the future "man i wish i had bought that". and ive never herd a bad thing about haltech. and when i move back to michigan they dont have any inspections. you can also use it at the track unhook it when your done and have your daily driver back. how ever you want to use it. (drive2)

i bought some new stewart warner gauges and some red wedge led's to back light them. Should be a good replacement for my autometers =)

i'm all projectored up!
got to change my sig now

Looks good bro!
thanks, everything was mostly trouble free, had to basically take the reflector cups and dremel spacers out of them, to put between the projectors and the reflectors plus had to get some home depot rubber gaskets.

edit: going to get new led's all around now as well

Started her up and it has a ticking sound coming from the head. So going to check the valve lash tomorrow. Hopefully thats it. It would be nice. i want my stupid car already.

depends on what mods and how everything is wired.... like mine i have PnP harness micro is spliced there .. then oem harness is tucked and cleaned.. all original sensors are gone only necessary ones are there. then my injectors and coils are wired to a separate ignition system.. Micro still controls timing just i have a more powerful ignition system and upgraded coils.. so even if i do connect the factory harness plug to factory ecu my car wont run...

The head is back on. Timing is done thanks to my boy Simon. All that's left is the intake mani and turbo and piping.

went and got me a set of wire strippers going to attempt to reinstall my turbo timer this afternoon so it will work all the time instead of only working sometimes like its doing right now haha

Getting it probably tuesdayish. About to do a compression test before putting the car back together the rest of way. Wish me luck

Bought some more stuff today for my msp. Got a set of millenia rims so i can use them while i get my rh's redone. Also went and got a spare msp turbo & spipe, blitz dual sbc spec r ebc and last but not least a new hks turbo timer to replace my broken apexi one.
