shockproof is fine if you want to change it every 3K miles. if not... bad plan.

Yeah... I should've been more specific. I used Redline MT90. Its a 75/90 GL4 fluid made specifically for manual transmissions.

Well atleast in my case, thats absolutely not true..Ive been using that thing for the past 3 consecutive years with absolutely 0 Problems and way more than 3000 miles on the oil, my tranny shifts smooth, no weird noises, gears, synchros and lsd are working flawlessly even when i flushed it to get the engine out with axles the oil still looked almost the same color it was when i fill the tranny 3 or more years back. like i said above atleast thats not a true statement in my case.. Its better than the MT-90 for sure once again to me and my specific application..

i had before this oil the redline, and once i changed to the shockproof car felt completely different, shifts were smoother and overall felt much better..

the advantage of shockproof is calcium carbonate crystals that get crushed as the transmission is lubricated. This absorbs stress that would otherwise be transmitted to the teeth of the gears.

Once all of it has been crushed... the fluid is spent. Its NOT meant for DD use unless you wanna change it very regularly. Also, you say 3 years, but how much of that time has your car been non-operable? You also don't have much at all in the way of traction, and don't make any power at all at lower RPMs when the transmission is most stressed, so with your absurd power levels (when it runs) I would say you're right, shockproof is probably better for your application, as your car's DD status is questionable at best.

Well, it worked for me for almost 4 years and who knows how many miles of hard driving the car back in Miami.. TBK add it to the trans when they did the gears, synchros and LSD welding, Since then ive been using the same oil til the day we removed the engine and tranny to do the new build here in SPAIN, once again i changed the oil and added new fresh same shockproof and that thing makes a hell of a difference compared to the MT-90


also my car have been down for less time than the actual time me driving it. BUt like i said before atlest in my particular case the oil have worked flawlessly to me for more than 12k miles ive done before the TBK madness with big turbo stuff we did to it back at Miami

well mine is most def driven as a dd. and alot of miles so would the redline mt90 be good? i was recomended by a friend of mine to use lucas but i wanted to see what worked for everyone else

lucas is good too. I'd say on par with redline and royal purple, just less common. MT90 would do you well.

75W-90 is typical

Read tons positive results and have yet to read one negative. Still sceptical?. Take a look at this thread.

hello, so 2 months ago my trans locked up and shredded everything to s***. so i ordered a new trans , only 22000 miles! good find, also putting in a stage 2 clutch, light weight fly wheel, comming next week in the mail, wideband and guage, SSAFC, FMIC and piping, boost controller,i know i forgot something.. o well you get the idea, i will get some pics u in the next week or 2 once im running again.
