What have you done to your MSP today?

Mounted one tire to have a look at my summer setup... Yokohama S-Drives. Can't wait til temps around here stay above 45-50 degrees.

I just finished with a set of the S-Drives, I was very happy with them. They got a little noisy as the tread got low, but performed very well

I'll still recommend my summer tire setup to everyone:

Kumho Ecsta XS 215/45/17

Easily the best tires I've ever owned, but beware of their wet-performance. Anything above normal speeds gets sketchy...

They're the best tires you ever owned but on wet roads they're sketchy???
Wow... there's a serious endorsement(doh)

Haha, I was thinking the same! Kuhmo's are a waste of money. thats my endorsement... :D

when i bought my msp it had ecsta supras on it. that was a fun winter (boom07)

Lol... I don't buy a summer tire for it's wet weather performance. You shouldn't be pushing the envelope in the wet in the first place, so I wanted something that was going to be "adequate" in the wet, but stellar in the dry. I wanted the Yokohama Prada Spec-2s, but Tire Rack was sold out. Car and Driver did a spring tire review and said the Kumhos were the best you can get for the money in dry weather.

I love them and will endorse them forever!

So I took my plastic valve cover off about a month or 2 ago since my engine torqued and decapitated some vacuum lines coming from my vacuum block, which is tapped into the sway bar. Well I think instead of cutting the plastic cover, I may just go ahead and powdercoat the actual valve cover. Or just buy one that is already painted. I think ForceFed was selling some a few months back but I'm sure they are gone. Any ideas what the best course of action would be?

I think I'll go snap a pic of the engine bay with my moms new point and shoot with an actual working flash to keep you guys from guessing what my setup looks like. Please hold...

Okay here it is. This camera is much better than the one I've used before. But I'm not so sure I wanted a good quality shot for this warzone. To put your stomachs at ease, I do plan on a massive clean up this spring.

Edit: Ricktalife - Liking the enginebay pic man. Nice and clean. I cant wait to get my steedspeed mani on.

LOL thanks man! I've actually never cleaned it since I bought the car so I guess I'm just talented. Or maybe the camera is just too nice to show the dirt.

That may work where you live, but here in Oregon the streets are wet about 70% of the year. When I did my research before buying tires I was concerned as much about wet driving specs as I was dry. In fact, in buying the S-Drives I was sacrificing a small bit of dry handling in exchange for a significant gain in wet handling. I'm thinking that if I lived in Saudi Arabia I'd prolly have chosen differently.(shrug)

did a bunch of work on my new intake. Fit a 2.5" peg in a 2.25" hole, and a 1.25" peg in a 1" hole. LOL pics will follow when the result is completed.

Drove it to work and listened to my front and rear sway bar clunking all the way. lol

My front sway bar is laughing at me... grrrrr

I hear ya. We don't usually suffer from too much rain in the summer here so I just have to be careful when it does. Tires are MONEY in the dry though...
