What have you done to your MSP today?

If they're stock, I don't bother cause they probably don't care. If they're in tip top shape though and clean, thats different. I usually also say hi if the car is mildly modded and most of the time they become a new mazda friend.

yeah, Im the same way. and most of them are pretty clean, always washed. When it starts to warm up again, Ill stop and chat and see if they have any plans for modding or just hanging out sometimes.

Washed it and cleaned up the engine bay a bit. Was looking pretty rough. It is winter though. Damn I wish I had another car to daily :( Oh and while washing found a teal scuff mark across the front driver side bumper that made me happy...

Found out what the noise from the rear passenger side wheel was. It was a broken stud and im missing a piston screw. I dont know where to get a replacement piston screw tho. Stud is a easy fix. Maybe i might need to visit pik n pull.

Well the serial to usb cable I bought is junk and I've looked all over the damn internet for a working driver (including the manufacturer website) but no luck. Went back to Newegg to request a return and found they will charge me about as much as I paid for the cable for a restocking fee and return shipping...even though the piece of s*** doesn't work.

So I went to Amazon and found the exact same Belkin cable that I've been using at my work. Already got the driver for that installed on my netbook so I can't possibly have a problem there. Or atleast I'm hoping.

^^yea. i thought it was a warped rotor but i guess not. Does anyone know if the older proteges(97-98) use the same screw?

Hey Dirty, I already ordered the Belkin yesterday and got an email saying it was shipped out so I'll just try that one first.

Definitely bookmarked your site though, I am a klepto when it comes to cables.

i dont have a MSP but its turbo related so here is what i did to my turbo today

:D took me a good day to get that dam c clip out, if anyone wants a how to clock your turbo/take apart the turbo just let me know and i can make one up real quick

So i went to pik n pull and snaged a screw from an 01 protege. And it seems to be too big. I think i might need to get this part from the dealer. Can anyone help me out with the part number. Ill greatly appreicate it.

Thanks, falken azenis rt-615's 215/45/r17.... They will go on my stock wheels for autox

got them from discount tire direct for $340 shipped after the $80.00 rebate they are running!
Im tempted to buy a set because of the rebate we are running, but I dont want to step backwards with tires. I cant go back to Falkens after using Star Specs

I'll still recommend my summer tire setup to everyone:

Kumho Ecsta XS 215/45/17

Easily the best tires I've ever owned, but beware of their wet-performance. Anything above normal speeds gets sketchy...

Keep in mind I had the Falken RT615s before I went to the Kumhos... I prefer the latter 10-fold...

They're the best tires you ever owned but on wet roads they're sketchy???
Wow... there's a serious endorsement(doh)

I just seem to remember somone saying the msp brakes are actually 626 brakes which might be why your having trouble with the screw.

wish i could get cheap tires here in canada. im looking at $750 shipped for a new set of proxas 4 in 215/40/17.

id go for the kuhmos as they are a lot cheaper but it rains half the time here. no real winter to speak of but the proxas 4 have done alright even there.
