He mighta' used paint designed for plastics or done some other prep to keep it staying on?

I'm really not trying to be a prick. There maybe plastisizers in the paint that allow it to flex. I just don't like it. If it doesn't help me go faster I don't care. That being said I have done beautifying mods but I just think painting anything other than body panels should be left up to 17 year old kids with their Cavaliers.

Technically did this yesterday, but finally took care of the transmission leak I was getting from the top shift shaft seal. Drained the old fluid and replaced with RP Max Gear.

yes sir. i was gonna take em off to powdercoat them, but my buddy came out of nowhere and offered me a deal I couldn't refuse, so I am going to sell them and purchase new ones. Thinking gun metal or matte black, but I am unsure with Cosmic Blue.

gotcha. you are as bad as me with switching wheels! yeah, not a lot of colors go with cosmic blue. sticking to silver/gun metal/black is probably your best bet....
