How does one acquire these tail lights?

Mine are OEM red tail lights, not vinyl. =)

Nope, the red tail lights are not available for the hatchback in the USA. They were only available on base model hatchbacks in the UK, Germany and a few other international countries.

I believe I am going with bf goodrich kdw 2's in 215/40/18. They run a little wider, and I found pics of them on a 18x8.5", and the stretch is perfect. Doesn't look VW-ish and doesn't look tacky, just a nice smooth transition.

yup, sounds about right. i assume you are rolled in the rear?

30K service. New coolant, P/S fluid , Trans fluid , syn oil. And fabricated side exit exhaust.





P.S. 5W/40 is the secret to stop smokong turbo's. Its part of a dealer TSB.
