What have you done to your MS3 today?

Wow nice.. I wish I could get mine that clean. I think it is permanently stained. xD
 
Took it to the dyno to help diagnose my popping problem..... It is much worse when the hood is open and you are over the motor.... It's only under full load and boost and is coming from the left side of the valve cover when you are looking at the motor. We determined this with a stethoscope and some pulls. It sounds like rattling/banging/popping when outside of the car looking at the motor. The guy at the shop did some research and believes it might be the valve timing chain... FML. Dropping the car of to a mechanic that owns a Speed3 that works at Ford tomorrow morning. I am currently not happy with the speed3.

Also end links I ordered do not fit our sway bars even though they say they do.

I also get an odd rattling type sound when WOT. This makes me unhappy as well.

I always figured it was my battery box (clips broken) or the coolant overflow tank (basically clipped to fender).

decided today that I want black hood vinyls, but the only place they have them is ebay and thats a whole set for $79. if anyone knows another site send me a PM...other than that I stopped to get gas and an older guy with a rx8 complimented me on my car and said he loved the MGM color. (thumb)

Found out today the first o2 sensor closest to the turbo is done with so that could possibly be my problem.... Thing is we scoped the motor and could have swore it was something rattling around inside. We will find out when the new o2 sensor gets here. 200$ for something that small is outrageous.

Also on the drive home today my Air fuel ratio on my dash hawk was maxed so the o2 sensor is not working. Car was sputtering and jerking at low RPMs so it made the drive interesting along with the car I had to swerve to prevent from rear ending me doing 40mph more. That would've just added to my problems lol.

Thanks on both accounts. I love the looks of this thing. I'm super nervous about fitment and installation but it's a pretty simple install. I'm trying to decide to install this with the BOV/SRI/TIP all at once or a piece at a time. According to SU the top rubber seal from the hood scoop seals fine over the TMIC so that should be cool and all past fitment/bolt issues have been fixed.

I really want to mirror polish this prior to install. Found a couple of powerballs and some polish at work so I'll get the drill and give it a shot. Pictures to come.

Hoping that I'll feel a noticeable difference most note a 20hp gain and definite in the butt-dyno department.

Next thing I'm doing is fabricating a water-spray IC kit to keep the heat soak to a minimum.

You also might want to consider upgrading your motor mounts if you haven't already. My ETS TMIC smacked the underside of my hood a couple times in my '09 MS3, but a TRZ rear motor mount solved the problem.

Thanks, I have CS inserts already but will also be looking into a solid mount from SU or CP-e.
