What have you done to your MS3 today?

Car is in the trailer until Monday at nationals cause I'm going to a wedding over the weekend and it needed to be pre-packed. I'll get some up next week around thursday.

Oh that's right... you posted that somewhere else too. I dunno after getting used to our shifter I'm kinda just used to the feeling it has. I drove an RX8 which has a dreamy good, snickity snick short throw and it just felt so different. I liked it, but it would take some time to get re-used to it.

Got my snow tires in... actually earlier this week. 215/45/18 Michelin X-ICE FTW!

TurboXS HBOV I installed on Tuesday.
Seen one, you seen 'em all, but here's a pic anyway.

I'll take pics during and after the install.

Yeah, once installed and the ecu reset car will run smooth, but for a while though. When the ecu "learns" your PG TIP after some miles thats when you'll notice the upgrade. Don't look for it just drive like you always do and turbo will spool quiker and rpms will creep up on you.

Isntalled Cobb AP(stage 1). Numbers seems good and cars pulls harder. Will do further testing tomorrow since it got dark. So far so good. I got a question. Is it ok to reset ecu? I know I don't have to since the flash already did that but just wondering if it's ok after a flash. thanxs

Changed the Tranny fluid to the Motorcraft Full Synthetic. I had been running the Redline MT-90 and it did smooth out shifting but did nothing to stop the cold morning 2nd gear grind. The Motorcraft XT-M5-QS is said to fix this problem and on the containers is says "Improved cold weather performance". Several members that have made this switch say it does work, I'll find out when it turns cold. I'll find out how it shifts in warm weather when I go for a drive later today.

I removed the battery and box to check on my stock tranny mount, looks good. I also cleaned my MAF sensor and the engine bay while I was under the hood.

Also noticed that the Cobb intake has broken one fastener on the mounting point. I unbolted the intake from the mount and bent the mount slightly so the intake rests on the braket mount for support but does not pull on the mount. I wish I had done this before it broke one of the tabs.

Vaccumed her out and wiped down the interior also.

^^^sounds like a pretty productive day

I'm off all weekend and had been planning to do a few things. Next I have to change the cabin air filter. The vent has a musty smell when you first turn it on and I have read it is caused by a nasty filter. I'm going to order one tonight and follow the how-to on you tube, looks like it's a b**** to replace.

^^^It's a PITA but honestly it is quick and easy to do when following the youtube video... that thing helped me out a lot!

***Today I painted my brake calipers red and applied 'MAZDASPEED' white decals from Vinz Decals... took her for a spirited test drive, but let my dad do the driving...

Removed battery and double check all clamps from TIP and intake. Test drove her with out going WOT and seems like all runs fine with Cobb AP stage 1 SF 91 map. LIFT are a bit high indentical to those running a Cobb SRI with no AP. 6 at idle, 7 at cruise and 10 at 70% to 75% throttle. Something I could probably fix with atr. Good enough to hold me off until I finish modding and get that final pro tune. yes yes.
