What have you done to your Miata today?

so i guess my boost issue could just be as simple as plugging in the keypad and seeing what the boost is set to. . . . . which i probably should have done from the start. . . .

Some (not all) boost controllers vary peak boost with ambient temperatures, even some electronic ones. Generally colder ambient air leads to higher boost levels if you have this issue.

Also, get a boost gauge... :p
 
i have a boost gauge, that's how i know i'm spiking at 14 psi

and i'm trying to make sense of the LINK ecu programing, it's not just as easy as plug in controller to see what boost is set at
 
yup, i'm studying the tuning guide for the ecu and i'll probably give it a go this weekend if i can get Josh to ride shotgun to monitor the output
 
just sent monies for guy on miataturbo to build me a seriallink adapter plus hotsync cable so i can use a palmpilot as a live readout, datalogging, as well as tuner for the ECU
 
Is it possible to use the test pipe for an egt sensor as well as the afr (provided I use 2 bungs)? Or closer to the head the better?

EGT you want a good bit closer to the exhaust port. The amount of O2 in the pipe doesn't change drastically from the port to further down the pipe. The amount of heat can.

I'm more bummed about the roll bar, and after more thought it would be nice to have the display but I can't really justify it. My 3 looked like a space ship with all the stuff I had in it and I don't want the MSM looking like that. I'm also restricting myself to how much stuff I mod so I don't really need to monitor all that stuff. Maybe if I actually keep it as a racecar, eventually, but I change my mind a lot so who knows.

the tach is not lit up, and it has a shift light, but you get the idea
