What have you done to your Miata today?

There's almost no rust on that car...just a bit on the rear carrier. The obvious brown material is merely dirt stuck to the undercoating.

Nutari, again, the "frame rails" are merely floor pan supports. They are not the frame and not as structural as you might think. I've seen Miatas with those supports nearly crushed flat. They're not strong enough to be used as a jack point.

All in all, everything is fine looking at the bottom.

I agree, it doesn't look too much worse than mine.

Thanks guys. :) frame rails are on sale at FM. $159 down from $199

I went over to check on the painter. He's putting the car back together. He should have it back together, in the next couple of days. It's pretty dirty, right now. Lots of dust in the wrong places. The paint texture still looks a little rough; but, it hasn't been sanded and buffed, yet. The car looks much better than it did. I'm really pleased, so far. Of course, we won't know for sure how it will turn out until he gets done with the finish work. The red came out really pretty. The clear coat sets it off. That should make it easier to keep shining.

went to air out the car today.

realized that someone has rear ended me and the the trunk lip is now folded inward. Broke the emblem in half too.

What the crap. That sucks dude. It's looking like that poor car is cursed.

yup.. I spend all day yesterday and today polishing the valve cover too..

every time I try to do something for the car, something else goes wrong. now I need a new trunk lid

That is bad.

This morning, I ordered some bling and a cover for the Miata. As soon as I get it home from the paint shop, I'll have to do a lot of cleaning and prep work for the first show of the season.

I went to the painter, today. The Miata is almost back together. I took a seat over for him to use so he could move the car around. Now that things are sanded and buffed, the car is beautiful. It came out better than I'd hoped. I saw immediately that I needed to get the front mud guards to match the rear ones, though. We removed the protective coating on the lower sides; and, my car has those wide tires that will make a mess of the new paint. I'm really anxious to get it home, now.

Photos coming soon. I need to get it home, clean it up, add the bling, and get a pretty day. In a couple of weeks, I should have it in pretty good shape for photos. I need to start hussling on the cars to get them ready for show time. Our first show will be in three weeks. The Miata may be the only one showing in that one, though.

Winter is over hopefully, lowered the car and put on a new/used set of rims and tires I got over the summer. Love the look. Still need to paint the rims, little cold for that.

Hopefully get the mazdaspeed body kit back on soon.

pics. Will be painting the rims eventually.

I know it's your car; but, that black looks pretty darned good against the red. Especially since you have black trim around the bottom of the car, etc. Bronze just doesn't seem to fit there.

Ditto. I'd keep it black or paint it gunmetal grey.

I approve!!!!
Love the red!
What would look great is if you painted the lip edge red.

I know what you mean. I might change my mind. Went to a car meet this morning and a few people told me the same thing. It's starting to grow on me. Will see in 2 weeks.

Thanks for the input
