What have you done to your Miata today?

I just finished my clutch yesterday, replacin the part took 15 minutes, bleeding the system, 6 hours. lmao we almost started thinkin the master cylinder wasnt pumping, but we kept at it and finally got it. Im happy now, good luck with your brakes.

Good! One more little chore out of the way.

I stopped by the painter, a little while ago. It's had about three mist coats of red paint, so far. In fact, the painter had just gotten through when I arrived to check on it. Needless to say, I was tickled to see red on it. The color is a little darker than I thought; but, it's right on. In the sunlight, it will brighten up. A couple more coats should finish the color. The it gets the clearcoat.

mine just feels softer than the vehicles that come thru my work but they are commercial vehicles

That may be the difference, then. You might need to try another Miata's brakes to get a comparison. It's hard to get that over the Internet.

any opinions on this set?

bump anyone?

Changing my oil/trans oil, fuel filter, and antenna right now. also patching up some rust spots on my door.

Also, adjusting the rubber seals above the door windows, on the soft top, did not stop the leaking. Its been raining for the past couple of days non stop and my car is getting soaked. :(

Sounds like a cover may be in order for those leaks, while it's sitting.

turned out to be a really productive day.

changed oil/filter, trans oil, fuel filter, cleaning the IM/Throttle body, polished IM/TB.

Car is still up on stands. going to finish changing oil in the Diff and turret tomorrow morning. Also going to pound out my frame rails. mine are totally smashed.

maybe your tension cables for your soft tops are snapped which can make your roof not seal properly and leak

hm.. on the passenger side, there is a rectangle piece of fabric that tore... is that it?

what did you do???

any pics ?

I bought the car as a salvage. The previous owner hit something and by the looks of it, slid off the road and smashed the rails.

I'll take some before and after pictures tomorrow. Hoping to buy the FM frame rails to help it out.

I went to install the ScanGaugeII only to realize the DIN opening below the radio wasn't large enough to mount it there :\

Polished IM

Only about 3-4 hours of work.

yeah yeah.. I only did the top. Kind of got lazy towards the end. one day I will attack the bottom.

Valve cover comes in next week. That's getting the works next. Polished with green lettering. Going with a very subtle green/black theme

That's just the drivers side. I'll try to pound em out tomorrow but I don't think im gonna be able to fix it.

are you doing the heat shield, too?

doing what? Polishing? No sense.. gonna get burnt in a day. I tried to paint my heat shield on the p5 once. Used high temp 1000+ degree paint and it still burnt off.
