What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Got car back from the dealership. After putting friction modifier in transmission, Ill find out tomorrow if it worked. They said it quit having the problem this morning after adding it. They also went ahead and replaced all diff, transfer case, and tranny fluid under warranty! And with an inspection, battery load test, and topped off all fluids. I didn't even ask for all that...I have an awesome dealership.

My apologies if i offended anyone, that was not my intent i assure you all. i wrote that at a late hour, im still overseas on business for a few more weeks, ima half day ahead of you all.
IMHO, if i was going to do brake upgrade, whatever manf i chose, i would research their site to see what is avail for my vehicle first, then after a sense of knowing, would call them. Once i get the app dept on the line, explain what vehicle i have, intentions with said vehicle, at that point they will suggest the proper rotor/pad/line combo. With the manf experience they know what works well together and what can be catostophic or ill suited. When i did my offroad truck upgrade i choose brembo(due to previous relationship with them), after calling them, they rec slotted rotors/galfer SS lines for my intent and vehicle. In our dealership, we are on the phone daily with guys and gals from brembo, galfer, EBC, goodrige, etc so that our customers can get the right combo for their vehicle.
I have yet to do my MS6's rotors or lines due to the time i had at home prior to leaving again. Im sitting on stock rotors and hawk pads(which hawk picked out after i called them). Upon my return Galfer SS lines will go on and after making the right calls i can report back to you all what reps rec rotor/pad for these vehicles and our intents with them.

solidtrance, for all intents and purposes you are absolutely correct, most of the cheap drilled/slotted are not worth the cost at all and will wear/warp/fail sooner. When my customers come in asking bout cheaper brands i almost always steer them towards, EBC and Brembo setups due to their high quality standards minimal fail rate. Since i havent done all my homework on our vehicles, i look forward to talking to my rep at brembo to discuss the best setup and possible past failure situaitions as to what caused them, if there were any noted.

burst a coolant line the other day... so drivetrain warranty is covering it on monday.
wasnt even driving it hard, occured RIGHT as i arrived to a local socal meet. rofl

also gonna have em check out the diff, and tranny syncros seem off.

buahaha, forgot to update about the sillyness.
got the car back that same day, they full pressure tested the coolant lines and no leak.
Apparantly at my 30k mile service, they overfilled the resevoir so when i drove my car all "spirited" like i guess it built up enough back pressure and popped the top sending the overflow all over the place... just happend to puddle up in a spot that made it look like a line had sprung a leak.

*phew*

oh and installing my new BPV tonight.
CAI arrives thurs along with dashhawk, will do those Saturday.

One thing for sure I'm like on the edge of just ordering, is going for your light set up steve. The 6K HID's with matching fogs look like sex! Unreal man...

FINALLY!! other tuners with the same mentality!! My local crew ALL, and i mean ALL run with JDM yellow fogs. Im the ONLY guy with all matching. Since my HIDs are still stock, i matched my fog H11 bulbs and changed the parking lights to matching hyperwhite LEDs. Looks so farking shmexy!!

cept i need yellows cause i snowboard a lot, often hit fog when goin up the mountain.
So i might actually do yellows for my high beams? lol, idk.. or convery MZ6 headlight assembly's so that i have an extra set of fog lights from the intigrated and have those as yellow... HMmmmmmm

I used to love the yellow fog look, but on this car, I just couldn't commit to doing it. 6000k color matched with the LED running lights is matched, looks close to stock, and works great for me.

The yellow hue that people use for fogs isn't what projects through the cloud. It is the way the light is projected. That is what kills me with people wanting their fogs on all the time, I could see it if they were driving lights, but fogs are for fog. My opinion, just call me an old fogey.

I just like the look of having all the lights on at one time. It's a style thing.

I find it funny that people are so against me getting a paint job....

anyway, I switched the parking lights back to OEM, because the cops here don't like BLUE lights on the front of the car. Stupid puercos. But the store I bought them from are awesome and will let me return the blues for whites, and I'll be throwing those on soon as I get them and I'm back in Nodakistan.

errr actually its a combination of the two.

concerning the color spectrum, a bright white will reflect 10x worse off of water molecules than a lower spectrum yellow. Hence why that color seems to "cut through the fog" moreso than white, because less light is being reflected back.

The downward angle helps in the way that ambient light reflects even less, where-as direct light angles will reflect much more-so into the driver's eyes.

dude we arent AGAINST it, we just find it odd. First of all we have a pretty rare car to being with. Second, BCM is without a doubt THE most rare color of the MS6 production. It's one thing to simply not like the color, but don't use the "it's damaged so i might as well repaint" excuse... you can always repaint in the same color? So... conclusion... you simply don't like the color that you bought?

Personally i luv the color. saw it 5 years ago at an unveiling @ mazfest 2005. Took a ride along, and decided at that point i was buying it... took me 4 years but i was ecstatic to find the same color!

nice assumption, but I felt like I wanted to change it. It has NOTHING to do with me disliking the color. I felt like I wanted a change. But goodness, if the gods of Mazdaspeed don't wish me to change the color.....

Either way, I should probably spend my money on more fruitful things, like a second car for winter...

Im not. Im all for your paint job. Ill be the first to admit that one of the negatives about my car is the paint. The mazda paint is cheap and doesn't look as good as it could.

Got a new clutch covered under warranty...Parts ordered today...Install sometime next week...

What was wrong with your clutch? I thought wear and tear stuff were not viable for warranty coverage.

Improper clutch operation due to a bad pressure plate is... Basically Im getting the clutch TSB done on the car... Clutch disc itsself isnt covered but my cost on it is less than $100. It has to come out to repl pressure plate so Im going to take advantage and repl it while its out....

Anyone know how hard ktp (the ones of PG) fuel internals are to install? I don't even know where the fuel pump is. Will buy a downpipe one of these days to conclude my bolt ons. Should get fuel pump internals before I dyno tune it.

Towel is ready for the pics boosted!
