What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Got new tires today! Appointment Saturday will be putting my new tires and wheels on this weekend, be nice to have the car back on the ground after having it on jack stands for a the past month

let me guess someone had to sign for it?? i always leave a note on the door to head over to the neighbors house if no one is home and have my neighbor sign for it..

I send my stuff to the office now instead of home. The mail lady signs for it.

What do you mean rebuilt the forge quick? What was wrong with it? What is there to rebuild other than replacing the spring / re-lubricating??

difficulty of install? i know i'm going to want to install mine as soon as i get off work tonight but the temps will be hovering around the 0 mark and the closest thing i have to a shop tonight is the diy car wash down the street

Don't worry about the install. Very straightforward. As worbit said the hard part is just managing to get your hands on a hard to reach bolt underneath the stock airbox. Took me 45 minutes and it was literally the 1st time I was ever under a hood.

ups and puro are the same thing these days anything ups gets dropped by purolator in our area... bigger areas and most of the US still have ups i think though

the sad part of this situation is i know the delivery guy on a first name basis, and he knows i'm expecting the box.. but still didnt put it togeather in his head this morning that the box with my name and "unit 21" was my store

They sell a rebuild kit for the forge. Check out their website and look for your part number. 10 bucks isnt a bad price. It included a new piston, bag of grease, and 3 new o-rings.

My o-rings were shot. Thats why I had so much flutter when the boost was letting off. They say push the piston up and put your finger over the vacuum port. The vacuum should hold the piston up and it shoulnt slam shut. Mine was slamming shut because the o-rings were worn. Making my bpv flutter since it couldnt hold up the piston. I love it now. Works like it did when it was brand new. I have had it on the car for a couple years. So any of you having issues I would recommend doing this kit. Took all of about 5 minutes to do.

I also went ahead and bought 4 new spirngs and shims. They were like 15 bucks. I used the yellow and one shim. Since it is rated at 18-23psi

+1

yup......it wasnt all that hard to do (and it was my first time under the hood as well). You'll know what part im talking about when you get to it....I was like "****, s***, damn it" every time I found myself having to shove my big ass banana hands into small sections near and around the air box. :D

just did my front and rear shocks.. fronts are easy.. but, the rears suck!! you have no idea what a fun job that was!! the rear shock perch is really hard to get to, and the bolts are lots of fun to turn!!.. Worbit.. your springs are ready!! shocks too if you need em?? fun day..

Which shocks did you go with? My Koni externally adjustable damping fronts are inserts that required me to cut the tops off the OEM housings and clean them out, etc. The Koni rears are same install as OEM.

i work in a mall haha... not huge mall but like i said.. he gets confused if the store name isnt on the label (gah)

Anyone running BC coilovers on there MS6? I know some members are...

I need the BC part # and/or the site they were ordered off of...

Thanks in advance... need to order these ASAP

EDIT: I thought the coils/springs aren;'t the same for the 6 and speed 6? On some sites it says I can get the coils for both cars (as in same part)
Noooooooooooooooooooooooob
