Put my stock internals back in. My CDI's failed=/. Car runs a lot better, just need to get new internals. Got my eyes set on KMD's.

Technically, this wasn't today, but I did have to deal with this last week.

Evidently, I lost enough pressure to make a good deal of the sidewall disintegrate; by the time I realized I was going flat, it was too late. The tire was smoking when I pulled over.

The guy who mounted and balanced the new tire said there's nothing wrong with the rim, so I'm not really sure how it happened. Needless to say, I've been fairly anal about checking my tire pressure every morning since this happened.

Rotated my tires today. While all those were off I repainted all my calipers and rotors.

I smoked out my tails this morning. :) Also smoked out the reflectors last night.

Nite shades. They have came a long way with this. Last time I used this it came out like a semi glass and was rough. This time it was pretty glossy but I got a bunch of trash in it. Was a windy day so dust was blowing in the garage while I was painting.

When I did it I taped off the turn signals and reverse. The very outside brake light I taped off as well. Shot 2 good coats of nite shades on. then removed the tape just on the outside brake light and then hit 2 light coats. Made it look black but it is 2 coats less on the very outside ones. I did this to make sure not much light was lost when i hit the brakes during the day.

Now I gotta see what the cops think...

Qwik, did you start e-tuning through RR or did you get a refund from them and go somewhere else?

I didn't touch my car this weekend. I washed it earlier in the week, then it got bombed on by migrating geese and I still have a bit of a clunk. Weather is supposed to warm up Tues. so after class I'll probably wash it and even swap wheels/tires. I spent this weekend playing with my new toys and helping the g/f move into the apartment.

I was delayed since I realized my excel had ran out. Went friday and picked up the software for microsoft office. Reset my ecu and drove the car easy for 50 miles. Saturday I did all the 5 logs they wanted to start out with and e-mail it to them. Now I am just waiting for my first revision.

Cleaned the up the stock wheels and put them back onto yesterday, so glad summer rubber is on finally. Took the car through the touchless today.

nice work qwik6! i like smoked tailes and reflector, not so sure i dig the look of the reverse and blinker left unsmoked tho...

Did a couple canyon runs this weekend. Took the run on Friday real hard cause i wanted to see what would knock loose... showed me i badly needed new/upgraded pads... full BBK preferrebly, BADLY need new tires, dry rot has caused the fronts to run bald REAL fast, and it sounds like my passenger side front endlink is loose, knocks constantly on slight bumps...

also had to re-run one of the OCC lines that was coming loose, turns out the vc connection has a metal collar i can push the hose over and worm clamp on both sides... was nearly disconnected when after that run!

Saw a turbo s2000 for sale and was VERY tempted :). Looks like a fun car. Have to research how well those high compression s2k motors hold up to boost though. Think those run 11:1 . . .

I didnt want to go completely black. That would draw in the cops too quick. Plus it sorta matches the headlights now. I think whoosh painted his the exact same way now that I look at his car.

No. I wish!! My dad has been good friends with this guy for over 30 years. Me and my dad helped him build this garage. It is nice knowing he will let me use his lift whenver I need it. :) I did a motor swap on my last car on that lift. The garage is insane. 60'x80' if I remember correctly.

ordered RPM street springs and a sharkfin antenna...

i wasnt sure about dealing with RPM after the $140 shipping quote to canada (tireracks quote for H&R springs was $40) but i figure i'll give them a shot with free shipping in the US then having my sister ship them here

hopefully i recieve everthing in time so i can enter the car in the first car show of the season

RPM Streets, you will really like them... moderate drop, performs great on the twisties and sexy red.
i couldnt bring myself to spend $80 on a sharkfin... but they look pretty slick! gonna simply 3M it, or silicone seal it?
