What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

I am so effing tired of all this snow. I went home for eight days (back to SoCal) and got so upset because I didn't bring her.

As soon as I get a reply from an eBay seller, I'm gonna order a brighter set of parking lights for my MS6. Also, gonna look into getting her detailed (more of a backburner thing as there is still snow and mud all over the Nodak countryside).

I'm getting a nice little return from our mutual Uncle so I'm torn between using it for upgrades on the ride or money towards a house...what do you all think? (no threadjack)

Im really debating opting out of medical school because of the way healthcare is going. I have to study such an insane amount right now and I just don't know if its worth it anymore. I lookforward to going to class because during that time at least I get study break . . .

Nope, just take more of my money and not give me any 'change'.

went snow drifting this weekend when everone was having trouble getting homes or getting up hills.. i started her up and went out lol. it was AMAZING first time playing with AWD in the snow.. i hit some ken block style slides.. had a smile plastered on my face the rest of the night.

Going to be replacing the OEM clutch very soon... I had a WOT clutch slip in first, second, and third yesterday from launch.

The clutch was burned all to hell when I got the car one year and 11,500 miles ago (one previous owner, 16,500 miles when I got it). I could smell clutch for the first 5-6 weeks I had the car. Needless to say, I've known for quite a while I'd be replacing the clutch sooner rather than later.

Do you know how much work is involved to repl clutch?? Turbo has to come out to access some trans bolts... Tech just did a rebuild on a Speed6 trans and it was a b****.... My clutch is getting done this week... Lucky for me it covered....

Ouch! That sounds painful.

I ordered my replacement 6000K H11 fog light bulbs. $15 + shipping, which was the same as it cost to send them in for warranty. We'll see if these last any longer.

I'm thinking I might be able to get it out by dropping the subframe. If not, oh well. It'll just take longer. In the end, the clutch on the Speed6 is the only thing I never liked. It feels terrible. It clamps terribly. And regardless of adjustment, it never disengaged fully so getting into first gear was sometimes very difficult.

I'm picking up the Spec Stage 3 and Fidanza aluminum flywheel today. At least I have a lift to do it on next weekend. I wouldn't dare attempt it without a lift... lol

Left my neighborhood today and once I hit 55 the car started shaking bad in the rear end. Came home and checked it out. Rear passenger side lug nuts were loose. I thought it was maybe the spacers sliding off the center bore. Must of came loose yesterday from snow drifting. Anyhow took the spacers off and re-torque'd all lugs to 96 ft-lbs. Then went back out to do some drifiting. :)

dropped her off today to get the carpet replaced, have the rear MM and Diff Checked out just incase. and HELL YEA quik.. 3 days ago was my first time snow drifting in an AWD car.. i had a FWD car before and you have no control and kinda slide then come to a stop pick up speed and do it again.. i had COMPLETE control over the car even in slides i could even back out and slide the other way even at about 20 MPH.. drift circles were easy.. weaving while sliding was easy and figure 8's were easy and SOOO much fun..i felt like Ken Block in his STI lol.. i never liked winter before but now.. thanks the the mazdaspeed6 and its glorious AWD.. i LOVE winter.

Any of you guys happen to know what the little button on the left of the rear view mirror does? The one on the right turns on and off the compass. The left one makes this little green light turn off and on. Just noticed it today. Left my manual in my toolbox at my parents place.

possibly turning on and off the auto-dimming feature. I have a sport so i don't have that feature, simply guessing lol

That turns the auto dimming feature on/off. You'll notice it at night if you don't leave the little green light on.
