What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

hmm, i beg to differ. the difference of texture to smoothness before & after use was very obvious.
i had friends at a local meet touch the car and ask if i just did a full claybar/wax job.

i think it moreso depends on the condition of the paint itself.
i baybe mine big time so that prolly helps. lol wax once a MONTH, i wish i could.
Im more every 3 months or so at most. many do it only 2 times a year.

i guess it depends on how often you wax it.. my sister uses that stuff on her car and its rarely waxed so it just make it shinny. lol. but i got her to clay/wax her car like a month ago so its lookin good now.. (well not anymore but better than it was)

I took my LED taillights off of the speed6.....if anyone wants them, they are up for sale in the for sale thread....

Those of you concerned with proper detailing, it's really a case by case thing. If you're sitting the car outside, you're gonna have to reapply wax/sealant more frequently, or choose something that will hold up a little better. Typically, I'd choose something synthetic over a carnauba wax for that.

If you're going to clay it, give the car a good bath with dish soap, then feel the paint. If you've got a lot of "bumps" or a sandy feeling paint, break out the clay. Once done, wash it again, and see how the surface looks. You might want to think about polishing, and that's something you don't need to do more than 1-2 times a year.

Started the gut out!!!! Grill, tails, strut bar, dashhawk, ap is unmarried, and took out the battery from the trunk and the wiring. Got started on it late this evening since I was out all day getting boxes and packaging supplies.

Still not finished. About to go out after dinner and pull out the meth install. Then on to the radio and gauge pod in the interior.

Wow, that's gonna be one hell of a part-out sale when you get that all posted.

75% of this is already taken care of in pm's. Some other misc stuff I will post up.

Right now I am trying to get this wiring out of the car from the meth controller . . Everything in the trunk area of the car is done. I will need to order a new trunk floor conver and the driver side cover. From where I cut for the meth to mount to.

I thought it was a rock, but it might as well be frozen snow, with how the weather has been up here. The funny thing is, I saw it happening in slow motion. I yelled out "NOOO!!" like it was gonna stop the stupid offender. lol.

and I gotta check my insurance today. this would have been really easy peasy if I had stuck with USAA, but i have Geico now, so I expect that damn gecko to show up today.

Wow that sucks, never seen that happen, seen small chips, but damn thats rediculous

Parts that are off the car so far: Meth kit, FMIC kit, LED Tails(sold), Grill, Strut bar, MS oil cap, Battery is back in the engine bay, Center gauges

Tomorrow's agenda: PG manifold removal and replace with stock. Re-install TMIC. Install stock TIH w/ cp-e SRI. Mount battery in engine bay. Mount washer fluid tank. Remove TT front engine mount and SU RMM.

I just realized I am gonna need to change the oil to get the oil adapter plate off with the senders. :( I just changed the oil 1000 miles ago.

I took the afternoon to reinstall the plastic under engine cover. It's been off the car for months now after the original bolts rotted away. I needed the assistance of my trusty cordless drill and Dremel, but it's back in place with some new, shiny hardware, ready for the coming winter months.

damn!

your should start a 100k club thread! i think you and Phil are the 2 highest millage ms6's

That's a good idea. Check the new sig! (thumb)
