My husband asked where I'd put a 55 gal drum when I found them for sale at a farm on the side of the road.
Well........he couldn't believe it was so easy to fit!
I like it. If the worn toyo proxies has the most 'road feel', and the the hankook winter tire least road feel,,, The Nitto sits in the middle. I think the rubber in the nitto
is thicker than those of a new toyo proxies. I have only driven it in iced-over roads for a day. So far it was acceptable. But I then switched to winter tires..
I have replace the reflector on the bumper with LED ones. Me likes
And i plug them into the brake lights, so when i hit the brakes the intensity change too
-installed clear rear reflectors
-put in 2 of the JDM coin holders....will work out perfect for the tolls I need to pay when we go see my in-laws occasionally and there really isnt a good place for spare change on the 5 that I have found
Gone back to the stock rims with the winters. Its getting colder here in GTA in the single digits for for the next few days. The ones I have on the 18s are (Nankang NS II) are rated MS but I dont trust them. I will need to get my fronts aligned , my Front right wheels are slightly bald on the inner side.
First oil change, went to Mobil 5-20. Had an issue with one of the shroud bolt fasteners and the cartridge cap was seriously tight -- I finally stuck a 24" pipe wrench on it and thankfully didn't crack it.
I just got back from a 2-week/6500 km trip from Kingston, to Tampa, then Orlando, then Panama City Beach, then New Orleans, and back to Kingston. The 5 performed flawlessly, and I think we fell in love with it all over again. We averaged +/- 600 km per tank - not too bad since we were pretty heavily loaded (cargo wise - I never drive when loaded!).
Now back to reality - snows tires back on tomorrow, and a really big clean up!
i dont know... have to look around. something cheap i guess. maybe some mazda3 wheels. not diggin stealies. walmart doesnt make spinner hubcaps in 16''.
And we know that no car is complete without those (2thumbs)
Talking about winter, just got Continental ExtremeContact DWS (215/50ZR17) installed. Too early to say anything, but very silent and good grip on rain...
