Traded our beloved 5 today for a Murano Platinum. I was very sad to watch her go. Also traded my '13 Mustang vert. On one hand we were very sad and had to hug to let the 5 go, but on the other the Murano is such a great SUV. We looked at literally everything and it won out. When you add the JD Power 4/5 reliability rating that is even higher than the Pilot and Highlander, it's a no-brainer.

I'll still be around, but after 7 years on here, it sucks to not really be part of the tribe anymore.

Somebody is getting one of the cleanest '09 5's in the US when they find our car.

Found a crack-free hatch (now with spoiler, whoo), matching color, Newer, not-crack-prone year.
Installed. Finally no more leakage in the back and I can install some trunk parts again.
That was the last big ticket item I had on my laundry list since buying the car 7-8months ago.

At least the color will forever remind you of the 5 :)

I had the same problem and always wondered while driving, why do I hear the ocean from inside...to find out our spare tire compartment was almost filled with water leaking through the top hatch sneaking it's way in through the third brakelight....didn't get a new hatch or glass work to her but did seal her hatch up with some silicon and worked like a charm.

Me and my went for a stroll and damn this heat heat just got real!!!

Enjoy the Nissan. You just gave up the best model year and trim, plus in great condition!

It was a good one. It's in Richmond, KY at Gates Nissan if anyone needs a cream puff.

We almost got a Signature CX-9, but we didn't need the extra row, weren't thrilled by the turbo, and worried about having to maintain the infamous diffs and tranny.

We got back to town yesterday after a 2 week vacation that included towing a cargo trailer for 3500 km. Our first road trip last year made me realize that the difference in interior size between the 5 and our old Grand Caravan was substantial, and it was not very comfortable in the 5 with 4 people, 2 big dogs, and two weeks worth of camping equipment.

A nice surprise was that even at between 110 and 120 km/h, while towing a trailer, we still only used 10 L/100km (about 23 mpg US) of fuel.
