What have you done to your CX-5 today?

your are in a Lexus no? did you look at the NX? for me the front end kills it.. even "tricked out" versions I have found online look bad. I think it would look a lot better w/o the lower trapezoid part..

I think that model (NX) is way over designed.................Lexus borrowed some lines from Mazda..............they aren`t happy........

I just received these today. I wasn't shopping for new wheels over the weekend, but I thought this was a price mistake: $99 shipped for a 20" TSW Mugello, bought four so there's also a $100 VISA gift card rebate. So $74 per wheel. I am really debating on whether to keep or sell them.

I noticed they are marked down on ebay by a lot of sellers, but not that low

Yes. When you lower it, the top part of the wheel goes in and the inner part of the tire, starts wearing more then the outer part.

I want to join in the "today" thread.

Just bought the 16 GT w/Tech + iActivsense on the 2 days ago. Today I tinted the windows including eyebrow and sunroof :D

Before

After

I think after seeing the windows done, I want to get the roof vinyl wrapped and maybe even swap the mirror caps to black. Thoughts?

Also slapped the OEM accessory all weather mats in.

Did you paint them or slap on laminx? Any night shots?

Neither, I used a vinyl film. I apply a just like a tint you would put on your windows. I chose not to paint them because in the future I can just remove the tint and it'll be good as new. I'll try to get some night shots tonight.

Have you done this before on a different vehicle? I can't see how the film would hold up against all of the elements throughout the years.

I've never put tint on my lights before, but I saw a couple of ppl who had it on for a couple of years and it was still good. Worst case I can just remove it and redo it or find a better alternative. I'll keep you guys posted. It was a $40 investment so if it does not last I won't be completely upset.

I put X-pel on the wife's Mazda 3 after the FL sun did a number on the plastic. Did a restore and sealed it in with the film... it's been great after a year. It's much thicker than Lamin-x, which I have on my MX-5. Tail lights I can see doing the Lamin-X, but I'd put X-pel or similar thick film for the headlights for protection.

Just an update... these struts are still working well. I left my initial shim job in there. I don't even think about it these days. I hate using the prop rods so glad this has held up so far. It also raises the hood higher than OEM prop.

Just tried out the new Blackfire Wet Diamond Waterless Wash Kit for the first time on my CX-5. It's a highly concentrated product (1 part product to 48 parts water) that comes with a sprayer. (Kinda bugs me a bit using the term "waterless" when it does use water.)

It's even more convenient and a time-saver than the rinseless wash I've been using between full-on car washes, especially since there's no buckets involved.

I filled the bottle with 720ml of water and 15ml of product. After I was done, I had about half of the contents remaining - so 720ml of water was probably good for two times the cleaning of the CX-5. I've read others using half a bottle, but I didn't even come close to that.

Considering there's roughly 500ml of water from a single bottled water, I can probably clean an entire CX-5 with it and have a bit of water left over. Insane.

As a side note my vehicle before this was moderately clean for a daily driver having stayed outside overnight during the week.

threw my mountain bike in the back and went for a ride... and took a very long way home :)
No traffic, lots of 2nd gear corners, hard braking and fun on this route. The only problem was that my right foot/knee started hurting a little from switching between the gas/brake 10,000 times
