What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Yes,, they are. Will report back when the deed is done. An added bonus would be if lowering the CG and inch or two actually does improve handling feel (at least subjectively). Not being an SUV type at heart, I have always felt that, no matter how well sorted the CX-5 suspension may be, being up so high always has me feeling like I'm flailing around in corners. Of course going back and forth between it and the wife's MX-5 doesn't help that perception!

I agree, when driving the CX-5 on mountain roads. Sure the CX-5 is best handling compact crossover SUV in its class, but compared to my 2 sport sedans I can definitely feel the higher CG and stronger understeer when cornering at speed.

btw - I'm running progressive Eibach 350's (same as F-sport springs, Eibach is the supplier of these same springs painted blue) on my Lexus IS and I'm quite pleased overall. The only negative is on large bumps at speed, when I feel the stock shock setup allows for less control of rebound. Overall with this car the improved handling and appearance is partially offset by the negatives I described.

That's kinda' what I'm expecting on the CX-5. There's always a trade-off.

I bought a black Mazda Zoom-Zoom license plate frame and put it on yesterday. Surprisingly, it was cheaper at the dealer than online. :) I would upload a pic, but she needs a bath first. ;)

I'm still running this one of kind (on a Mazda) and authentic/copyrighted license plate frame on the back.

Drain and filled my atf (~3.5) qt. Also installed my rear 2 point lower bar. Looks like I wont be gettijg the 4 point; looks highly doubtful that it fits the awd cx 5

Just another view of the rear bumper guard, I like the reflection is makes on the rear door. Also a custom LP I have had since 2005, it does say Metalfab, the shadow blocks most of it. The LP is thin gauge stainless steel made on a laser table at work.

Chris, got a pic to the two point bar in place? Also a link to where ya' got it?

You need to jack the rear suspension or the bolt will fly and the arm will pop down once it get tot he last thread (In which case you would just jack it back up to the chassis, it wont fall off, just get pushed down by the springs).

bar http://www.ebay.com/itm/181265365815?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 there is another vendor selling them as well, both highly rated, I have purchased 3 times from ultraracingmy; no problems and respond quickly to messages

Keep in mind that picture shows the 4 point bar as well (2135 more towards the front of the car). The 2 point is the 2136, so don't expect the other bar. Also I don't think the 4 point bar will fit the AWD, I looked and the propshaft seems to be blocking its path.

It feels any different?
What kind of difference did you noticed with those mufflers?
Paris purchased the springs!!! Yeah.
I will wait a bit more. I would like something between H&R and Corksport, or at least see those camber kits. I had H&R sports on my ex VW Rabbit, I have even installed them. They are an excellent choice.

This is what happens when you don't really clean (metal polish) a SS exhaust for a few months lol

this was after a few soak of wheel cleaner and rag it was worse everything was completely black, still had about 15 minutes of scrubbing left.

15 minutues of scrubbing with black magic no scrub wheel cleaner and blue magic metal polish(this stuff works wonders)..

Nice sound Chris. Thank you.
How heavy is the new muffler setup, compared to the original one? We would save some weight with this setup?

Yes. 8 lb lighter, alot easier to manipulate. I've lowered it/swapped it a few times and the oem is a pain.

Wired up my curt trailer harness. Managed to shear two bolts with a hand ratchet, defective imo.

That is a great news. I may do something similar at a muffler shop, but with different mufflers.
