What EMS systems are there?

good enough for me... editing my other post so other people don't get confused.

If someone can honestly get a full set of shafts and gears made for 1400 I'd be scared I think... and the pieces you are/were selling are great looking work.

The ones I can get from Australia run me a cost of 4600 dollars... so needless to say I dont' really do much with those.

Then I add the asshole tax for some of the people on this forum. Now we are over priced. So if we get rid of some of the assholes would the price would come down? No not really, but it would be great to bill things that way anyhow.

lmao thats the winning post of the day for sure (first) thats about the only enjoyment I have seen yet today lol

Nick is by far opinionated, YES, but we all are. I can also vouch for Turfburn obviously does make a profit on this stuff, he just enjoys learning as he goes. In past year he done read and search these cars. He's measured the in and out on several cars to improve. He tries. Nick so what. Yes, he has a "day job" as most of us do, and no he doesn't have a building with NSN on the front - but that is a GOOD thing, do you want to buy car parts for a reasonable price and pay nothing more or do you want to buy car parts and pay for the brick and mortar of someone else? This does mean MPI is bad, MPI is awesome, that does mean that it is the only way to do business.

This forum that I loved vendor and and members jumping to help it is a wonder.

So, what does it mean. . .I was one of the early turbo'd cars. Running spool and then stuff from MPI. Didn't blow my motor, still have the car, runs perfect, and I would have NO fear whatsoever letting Steve OR Nick work on it. Highlander. . .there be "only one"!

Dam you Jeremy for come back and posting s*** like this.

You forced me to delete some things. Happy New Year.(poke)

Motar and Brick business's don't speak of customers this way. I would hate to be a customer that asked to many questions or had a problem with your stuff.

So i've held my tongue long enough i think. Out of respect For Nick and Big Tim in particular.

I currently am running the MPI on my car, and i really am getting sick of it. I can put a perfect tune on it one night, no bucking from the TM, great idle, great a/f during cruising. The next night, with no change in temps outside on the SAME map its s***. Bucks like crazy going into boost, and my idle goes crazy. I'll be fine and then sitting at a light it'll go super lean almost stall and then catch itself sometimes. I also have a CEL for being too rich, too lean, and misfires. I clear them, same thing happens regardless of how well i tune it.

It was so bad one night, I got stranded 10 miles from my house, and Beau happened to be in Utah that day. He drove 40 minutes at 2:30 in the morning to help me get it runing again. We tuned it great for almost 2 hours, and then the next night, the same s*** all over again.

I think the MPI is a great unit for low boost, or i may even try it without the TM until i can go full standalone. I think if you eliminate the TM then it'll be more predictable in boost and i won't have to tune around the TM everytime I get into the car.

I know Nick is going to come in and argue that i can't tune it right, and if i could tune it i wouldn't have these sort of issues, but my problem is i HAVE tuned it right, and it runs great.... for a night, then the next day i pull out my laptop and do it all over.

I repect Nick and he knows his s***, and the unit works great when i get it right, but bottom line is i don't have time to tune tune tune, i hold 2 jobs, am going to school full time, and am trying to plan a wedding. I don't have the time to go sit in my car every night and drive just to tune.

I've kept my mouth shut because i think nick means well, but when i have corresponded with him he seems bitter with me because i have MAM products on my car. I felt like i got treated differently because of it & without any reason behind it.

I am going full standalone because i won't pass emissions anyway so i might as well, i know someone who'll pass my car for me.

man..I am not at all calling you a liar by any means..but there HAS to be something wrong...You must have something wrong with your car that has the ECU going to vast changes, or something hooked up wrong..I have had the MPI since friggen 2003 and NEVER once have I had a problem with it...I think I have upgraded like only two times out of the bunch of updates..I currently have no idea if im running the newest version..This thing has been perfect for me for a LONG period of time..Note, installed and tuned BY Nick...Alot of the problems that have been going on have always ended up to be USER error.

If your problems with the MPI are genuine, then I feel bad for you. But you have to understand, to me it is near infathomable to believe that someone could be having such problems. My tuner has run flawlessly for years now, minus a set a burnt coils that was my fault completely.

You need to read all of the post's. My customers have had all the help that then needed. As any good customer of mine or even any good memebr of this forum, you can ask any or as many questions as you need. But like I have stated many time before. Do not be an ass to me and or my products or the door is closed for good. I have been runing my business like this for a long time. The vendor that sell me love me because they know that I am a stand up guy and I do not bull s***. My good customer also know me to be the same.

But I understand that some of you younger memebrs and vendors have grown up in a new age. No respect or integrity. You think that because you may spend, will spend or did spend money that you can act as some do to vendors. Not with me. I would think you would be better off dealing with vendors that take your money and then do not ship you any product for months if at all. Then you can never leave a voice mail because it is always full, and they never return PMs. Yes you may be better off down that road.

Stop right there. You canot do what it looks like you do not have, respect. If you had any respect you would have called me or PMd me for help. If not me the Big Tim. You never ask for any help but you come her now with this s***. Right off of the bat you have the wrong guy tuning the car. He as never been able to get one tuned right. This is just one of the reason I stopped selling him MPIs. Big Tims has fix something like five cars for him since he move out there. MAFs in backwards, wiring not done right and leaks. Not one of them had a bad MPI, it was the s*** work that he did at his shop.

You should have hooked up with Big Tim. He is right out of the movie the Cable Guy. He would have found and fixed you problem the right away. I like the thinking of some of you people. Do not fix you car right, just throw out the computer and start fresh.
