Well, when you turn on your headlights, go to the front of the car and see which bulbs are illuminated.
The outside bulbs are the low beams. The inside bulbs are the high beams.
Does the fog light switch work? Are the fog lights always on regardless of fog light switch position?
Park your car perpendicular in front of a wall on a flat surface at night. At least 10 feet from the wall if not more. This is to get a ballpark idea to determine if your headlights are not aimed properly. The center of the low beam should be lower than the center of the headlight housing. Lower the low beam aim if they are above center.
If the fog lights are always on, check the aim of the fog lights. They should be downward to illuminate the ground in front of the vehicle, not forward. Fog lights are pretty intense as there is no coated shielding like a high beam bulb.
