They were asking $16k and offering me $9k initially... I ended up getting the car for $15k and getting $10,700 for my trade. (I love buying cars)

My wife was starting to get baby fever, so I dicided I better go ahead and get a "family car" that I could enjoy. I ultimately want an MS3, but that's too expensive for me right now. Maybe I'll get a used one after this car.

The RX-8 could work for several years as a kid-hauler, but one of the club members back in DC couldn't drive with his (young, but not baby) daughter in the back of the 8. Her booster seat in the RX-8 rear bucket kept her from putting her legs down in the footwell, so her feet were in her dad's back, instead.

Also, if you have hobbies, and want to continue to have hobbies, don't have kids. Ask me how I know.

Congrats....and nice ride! Your Miata was nice also. I would like to know how you convinced your wife that the RX-8 was a good 'family car'? Perhaps I can use that info somewhere down the road. lol
