Weapon R damper Kit-Need someone for prototype

seriously, that's pretty tight... i wish they made it the way they have the evo damper with the separate plate... that i would buy... MUCH easier than new motor mounts.

yep, it looks good on the evo

So is it $300 total with the custom bracket AND the dampner?
How much of a difference did it make?

Why don't they just make an alternate bracket that will double as a strut tower bar bracket?

Its just a guess but it might cost alot for a combo like that. it would be cool tho

Well, $300 (custom kit with damper) isn't too far from their Msrp of $225 so it's not too bad. But I gotta save some money for brakes and other stuff first.

Also, I don't have the time to modify the brackets (boards and rotations coming up soon). I figure for $225, the kit should be "plug and play," like the one shown for the evo.

yea well like u said 300 isnt much less than 225 so make it look good for msrp. I think thats crap that companies makes an item, then says this is what u get, but for more money we can make it fit alot better. y not just please everyone and do it right?

im interested in this but id have to see what the 75$ diff is.

Too bad I don't have the funds to splurge on this right now (paid $350 for the step 1 registration). Maybe the production product will be more acceptable...?

You mean 300 isn't much more?

I hear ya.

I'm more interested in what kind of difference it makes.

I think Leo is probably a better person to ask about the fitment of the custom bracket. I don't know if it make a huge difference versus the prototype, but it'll most likely look much cleaner. Also the bracket for the strut bar is kinda thick.

i stared at my motor tonight. i was about to buy a universal one, but there is no room for this and if it installed, the chances of seeing it will be low.

ill be VERY amazed to see this product come thru. i was looking at honda/integ motor pics tonight with it install and their motor sits more to the right, making it easier and ours more to the left. also, an msp would have an easier time because there is no cruise control...

but we shall see

yea i mean for the 75 dollar differece they could just make it better to begin with.

i also agree though, id like to see what it does.

Hi, I am interested in your engine dampner for the Mazda Protege.

When will this be available?

Also, can you mass produce brackets that will also attach to the stock
strut bar, as most people have a strut bar?

---------------------------------------------------------------------
It doesn't attach to the stock strut bar because it's too weak.
But we have made a plate that goes under the strut bar.
It should be available in the next month or so.

Thank you,

I really want one of these..I think it will help the issue im having right now engaging first gear..Its a possibility that one of my motor mounts is going/gone...

mm nice email, i have to go back into my motor now to look more haha

i just hope it can be installed with aftermarket strut tower bars

I hope someone that gets this can also test drive a friends car that has both front and rear AWR mounts and give a comparo. this wont get in the way of any current engine mods right, maybe except matty's SC?
