Count me in for 1 for my MS3.

Question, and excuse me if i missed this in the thread somewhere, but how long does it take to install? I don't think the stock vent just "pops out", right?

Actually, yes, the stock vent just pops out. You need only grasp it firmly by one of the louvers and give a firm, quick tug. It'll pop straight out. You may have to wiggle it a bit while tugging. Some are tighter than others (did I just say that?)

Angle please

Sooo.... what was the decision on tipping/tilting it a wee-bit toward the driver? Just went to the site (ventpod) and compared to the other dashes, still think that the MS3 would benefit from an angled design.

I second that!!!

Are you serious??? (boom04) It doesn't just pop out it has two slots that turn and lock into place with the dash peice, care to elaborate on how it just "pops" in and out??????

Some may know that I did a vent pod about a year ago...

Okay people, we're going to kick off the tool for the 3 either tomorrow or Monday! Yayyy!!
We are going to hold off on the 6 for now. The center vent style pod will be our prime direction for that model, but we can't launch more than one product at a time right now.
With all the interest in the 3, it shouldn't be long before we can start on the MS6 Center VentPod. ;)

WHO NEEDS 2??!!!!(band)

As allways the Speed6 owners get shafted......(rant):bs:(pissed)(sad1)  (argh):wtf:

My bad!! You're right. I've been working on so many of these things, I've forgotten about the "twist" needed to remove the 3 vent. If I recall correctly, it's a counter-clockwise twist, yes? I've only pulled the one out of a co-workers car, and only once. All the other installs in that car have been with a Ventpod, and these don't need to be twisted or clocked.

The 6 guys can just pull it straight out. I've been working mostly with that model lately, and my brain was thinking of the 6 install. Sorry 'bout that!

BTW, you 6 owners....hang in there! It won't be long 'til we launch that product for you. As I said before, I can only launch one product at a time. I have to release the product that shows the most promise first. ;)

Anyone who wants one need only sign up. These will be produced in large quantity batches. That's the beauty of injection molding...once the tool is done, running parts is only a matter of how many you want to run. ;)

Once the tool is finished, we can run parts in a day or so. That means we'll be able to ship within days of finishing the tool. I'm penciling in a date sometime in the last week of July. It may take a few more days to get the parts boxed and shipped to my distributor, which leads me to the next point of business...

I've worked out a pending deal with "TheRPMStore.com", and as it stands today, I will be directing everyone to order through that website. Donny is a great guy, and I'm sure he'll take care of everyone here. Pricing will remain the same. You'll just have to add whatever shipping and handling charges there will be, which isn't any different than if you were to buy them straight from me.

Thanks everyone, for expressing your interest and giving all that positive feedback!!! It has really helped keep the ball rolling, and I appreciate it very much!

ELBOWS-HIGH!!

Is this still the current arrangement...?

Note TheRPMStore.com is an AV on Mazda Forums. :)

Sorry, I haven't read through this thread -

Does this create any restriction for the AC system? What if you wanted to go back to the stock vent look?

Yes it is. ;)

Shall I proceed with AV approval, or does the fact that TheRPMStore is an AV sort of releave me of that?
Thanks Antoine!

If ALL Ventpod sales on Mazda Forums are through TheRPMStore (assuming TheRPMStore remains an active AV), then you do not need AV status. Note that means you are not authorized to conduct business in any way, shape or form yourself...All your business must go through TheRPMStore while they have AV status.

If you plan on selling anything yourself...In other words conducting business yourself on Mazda Forums...Then you will need to apply for and obtain AV status.

Please clarify your current plan and intentions.

Thank you! :D

Very little restriction in air flow.

None of your stock parts will be damaged. You need only remove your existing vent register, and replace it with the VentPod. Takes about a minute and 30 seconds. ;)

Antoine, the current agreement I have worked out with TheRPMStore will give Donny exclusive sales priviledges for the foreseeable future (which is no less than one year).
The only involvement I will have will be handling customer questions, comments, and concerns as they pertain to the product itself. ;)
If, at any time, my relationship with TheRPMStore dissolves or becomes less binding, I will definitely be finalizing my AV status here. Hell, I may do it sooner if sales are good, just to toss out the occasional product idea via GI thread. ;)
Thanks for all your help, BTW!!
