I would assume the different part numbers for the CX7 and 6 vents is due to the trim rings. It is black for the CX7 and chrome for the 6.

Okay, just to clarify because I know everyone isn't reading every post...

It takes a good 5 weeks to make the tool. We just kicked off the supplier. He will start on it as soon as he's able to clear his workload. My tool is in his queue. I will continue to post as we clear major milestones.

Hang in there, folks. We'll be making parts before you know it. ;) (cheers)

That may be. I seem to recall that the bezel portion of the vent is different. From a side view, the two are quite different (size aside), at least where the vent assembly interfaces with the dash.

Wow!

I'm new here and stumbled across this thread the other day. This is exactly what I am looking for to mount a Turbo gauge in my 3 and still keep the clean, factory OEM look. I would definitely be interested in purchasing one once they become available post manufacturing. So, sign me up and if you need more information, PM me.

Love what you have done here Elbows-high...you are a certified genius!

me to, are u still able to sign me up?

Anyone who wants one need only sign up. These will be produced in large quantity batches. That's the beauty of injection molding...once the tool is done, running parts is only a matter of how many you want to run. ;)

Once the tool is finished, we can run parts in a day or so. That means we'll be able to ship within days of finishing the tool. I'm penciling in a date sometime in the last week of July. It may take a few more days to get the parts boxed and shipped to my distributor, which leads me to the next point of business...

I've worked out a pending deal with "TheRPMStore.com", and as it stands today, I will be directing everyone to order through that website. Donny is a great guy, and I'm sure he'll take care of everyone here. Pricing will remain the same. You'll just have to add whatever shipping and handling charges there will be, which isn't any different than if you were to buy them straight from me.

Thanks everyone, for expressing your interest and giving all that positive feedback!!! It has really helped keep the ball rolling, and I appreciate it very much!

ELBOWS-HIGH!!

Add one more positive feedback for Donny, he's got a good business going.

This sounds good though, put me down for one of these too!

Did I miss something? Was the pricing announed? Or Elbows-High, are you saying that the price would be the same if we were to purchase through you or aforementioned vendor?

Please forgive me. I have not nailed down a price thus far.

I have been working with Donny to set the pricing at ~$35 per unit (plus S&H). This figure may vary by a dollar or two either way, but suffice it to say that this is the price we're targeting. ;)

Sooo.... what was the decision on tipping/tilting it a wee-bit toward the driver? Just went to the site (ventpod) and compared to the other dashes, still think that the MS3 would benefit from an angled design.
