Under development MSP product line

Whatever, its still different, which will yield different results ie stalling in MSPs while not stalling on MP3s and P5s.
You may be right as I have no experience with this issue on an MP3 or P5

We will be testing the BOV on the MSP.Right now we use the HKS SSQV on our Sleeper kit and have no issues. The ECU's might be different but the BOV principle is the same.We will offer a dual setup for those that would like them. The added cost is $10 and a 2 week time frame is added.

You guys are using it open vent on your sleeper kit, but that is for the MP3 and P5, but not the MSP. The ECU is compensating for a recirculating BPV and without anything recirculating, it is stalling out. There either has to be a recirculating BOV or BPV running with an open vent BOV to prevent stalling. This is why I don't like the hiboost kit because it was designed to have a recirculating HKS BOV, and people couldn't run an open vent BOV without stalling or having a nipple welded on to keep the stock BPV. I don't see how this kit will be any different from the hiboost kit if it is run open vent with nothing recirculating in terms of a stalling issue with an open vent BOV.

But, thats just my opinion. I will gladly pay an extra $10 so I can get mine recirculating. $10 is really nothing.

I've already said that I've seen JDM SAM's MSP with a HKS SSQ on the first charge pipe, pre IC and it never stalled, and sounded great.

maybe the BOV location in relation to proximity to the turbo makes a difference... Beau's will be pretty close I'm sure.

yea having worked with sam on his and my car extensively, i can say that he has it working great, and my bov will be placed according to where he has his. you can vent without problems, people who have had problems in the past have generally been putting the bov in the wrong location, or even on the wrong pipe.

keep up the good work man

Well, lets hope that this one is put in the right location. I'm still a bit skeptical, since I've heard more stories than not of people having problems stalling with a BOV. Sure, a couple people have gotten it to work fine, but then there are a bunch of people who haven't. I'd rather take my chances with a setup that I know works for my car, since we can all agree that every MSP is different. I mean, just look at the variance on stock boost levels from car to car.

I can't say too much being that my car is still pretty much stock. But I know just from reading all the forum's that beau's service is second to none, along with his knowledge. To me that means that if there is a problem with running a single open-vent, that the problem will be addressed before the actual release date. Or if the already produced units need some modification, that the tba date will be pushed back. So far everyone's products that mam has made has been high quality, why wouldn't the fmic kit be just the same? Hopefully with the tester's cars, some are modded, and some stock, just to make sure the setup whether single open-vent, or dual will work with whatever car it is going on.

Yea, let's just calm down a little about this guys. Beau will get it working top notch and won't release a kit that doesn't function properly.

I haven't read this whole thread yet but, with this FMIC kit will you still be able to keep the fog light's?

That piping looks really close thats why I'm asking....

yep. i still have mine, and on my mp3 its close too :D
Oh ok,it looks like a very nice kit good luck with it!

beau,or anyone else that can answer, any updates with the fmic on the test cars? This is one of the first products from mam that I've been waiting to buy.

How much (if any) difference in performance would the header alone make with an (2.5" s-pipe back) exhaust, Injen intake, stock boost? It is a beautiful piece. Too bad for DNPerformance that MAM came along! Good job, Beau!!
