Turbo seems very qiet

Hey everyone, I am new here, and just got my MSP about 2 weeks ago. Let me start by saying I love the car. Not as fast as I had expected, but the handling of this thing makes up for it all.

I just have one quick question though. I know that some of you say that your turbo screams loud enough to hear it. When I hit it full throttle to red line, Sometimes I can barely hear my turbo, but most of the time I can hear no whine from it. Should I be worried, and is there anything I can check to see if everything is in order.

I do know my way arounds cars, but this is my first turbo car, so when it comes to turbos I am lost . I also noticed a little oil was on the underneath of my turbo last night. I dont know if that has anything to do with it, but I just thought Id see what you all thought could be going on. Thanks for the help everyone in advance.

all u'll prolly hear for the first few weeks is the blow off valve at least for me anyways, once ur past the breakin period u'll notice the "classic turbo whistle"

oh yea, after a couple thousand miles (patience, patience....) that s*** will scream. if u get on it the turbo roars and the BOV explodes... well maybe a bit exxagerated...

I also noticed a little oil was on the underneath of my turbo last night. I dont know if that has anything to do with it, but I just thought Id see what you all thought could be going on.

Uhhh leaking oil feed line from your turbo...search the board some other people have had this same problem... also leaking upper radiator hose...

Cool, thanks for all the help. I just about have a 1000 miles on it right now. So ill just keep driving it and hope for the best ..

I am going to keep an eye on the oil leak, if it continues, I guess Ill just take it in to the shop..
