meh, the 7 will be sitting at the dealer i bought it from til atleast march. i dont have any room for the damn thing...

and after that, its just gonna get a wash and wax and interior shampoo and cleaning. then clean up some of the wiring and get rid of the sub and amp that are in it!

then just replace a few broken things and maybe some s5 tails and bumpers and a shine lip or something. then some cheap wheels and tires, but that wont be until atleast summer!

anyway, back to the truck, my big purchase is in salt lake city right now, so says it should be on my door tomorrow, so expect pictures sometime soon!

so, this is enough on the rx7. its not even in my possession yet, and this is a build thread--

that being said, i have some updates...

so as i was saying before, i have an idea for a bumper...

so i had a few people looking for one, but i found a killer deal on ebay for the bumper i want! now i just need the lower valance and then to do some custom junk to it since everyone knows i cant leave stock parts well enough alone...

anywho, the shipping time was ridiculously fast, and i recieved it this morning...

u shoulda seen the look on the wifes face when i pulled this sucker in from outside and told the ups guy thank u! she says, a bumper? really? (she didnt even know i had ordered one lol)

this thing was packaged well!

so now everyone with a mazda can go out and steal my idea lol... its a 1999 ford ranger splash front bumper. i think it will allow me to run my front mount in the bumper opening and still give my radiator plenty of air!

crudely mocked up! i think its gonna look beast after a few modifications...

i also installed my new shifter boot. not much of an update, but it looks 100 times better than the old worn out oem one

i think i have the wifey talked into buying me the lower valance for my birthday, which is coming up in a week or so. other than that, im just waiting for the guy to show up to take that other truck off of my hands so i can get the bed and cab off and do final welding and start spreading seam sealer and filler and also order my aem ems and start my tucked harness!

also planning a tubular core support as soon as i can get some dom and get to my buddies house to use his tubing bender. it should make things a lot easier to mount like the radiator and intercooler and such without being so gawdy and will also open up the front end for running ic piping and hiding wires more easily!

i am tempted to use tax money on this build, but i would rather let it sit in te bank for just in case. it sucks getting old and being responsible...

should have more updates soon!

Well imma try and figure out a way to make the opening in front bigger for the intercooler. Nothing crazy, but just more functional.

Also may section the bumper so i dont have to cut a lot off of the lower valance...

Nice looking bumper.. saw a chrome ford ranger bumper and a black one at the junkyard yesterday pretty decent too.. Im after the 92-95 toyota bumper pain in the ass to try and find one of those.
