Would an upgraded turbo manifold void my warrenty? Just wondering if anyone would know the answer to this question

I should have asked them about it but never thought about doing this upgrade. I only asked him about the turbo back exhaust and he said it would because of the cats. I'll have to get ahold of the dealership next week and ask

If you really want to keep your warranty, DON'T modify your car.

What would be the fun of having a car then? It adds excitement of driving around. I know what your saying though. They've made this car to have aftermarket parts for it.

My bet would be that yes it would void it. An aftermarket HU voided mine in my RSX, WTF does a HU have to do with the engine.

I knew a guy that had a Dodge Dakota that would not start because the radio was broke! Did not know this while we are trying to figure out WTF!

It was traded in 2 weeks later.

must be nice to be as simple as trading in cars left and right simply because there is one minor problem. You're friend must be in debt over their head for trading in cars so easily.

the simple answer to the question is yes, that is going to void any warranty on pretty much anything engine related.

ok, you put a part on that pushes the design parameters of the car, the engine, the turbo. blammo, you grenade the turbocharger....why would they cover that? of course, they just might, but i don't understand why guys with heavily modified engines would even get upset to learn they are out of warranty.... i bet these engines are designed to hold around 300hp, and are de-tuned to the required parameters to keep it alive....

i think it's cool that guys are really trying to find out what these engines can produce, but expecting mazda to pick up the tab on tweaked engines is a bit much, i think...

Calm down Francis.

Your car not starting due to the radio is minor? WTF else might happen in that thing. My point was, that cars today are very integrated.

But my friend's financial status becoming the target of your reply reveals what a disgruntled little asshat you are.

ps, he is 50 and the vehicle was paid for.

Who cares about this subject, it's not even what the thread is about. I know what you mean though uhateit. I see that all the time with people going into debt because of vehicles. Maybe I won't do much more to this car and later on just buy an old camaro or chevelle or something. So much more easier to work on, and you and mod the hell out of the car for the price of nothing. A turbo manifold would have been pretty bamf to have for this car

Yep, sorry about that. Perhaps I read more into than I should have.

BOT- The modder's and manufacturer's are always going to be a conflict. It is what it is.

I would have to agree that it would probably void the warranty if it came down to a problem.

I don't think it could harm anything. I just need to talk to the dealership I guess. Anyone that has this mod is it a pita to install
