I know there is a turbo kit made by F2, plus Tripoint is selling one, but both are for the 2.3L engine.

Does anyone make a turbo kit for the 2.0L Mazda 3 ???

its because of the difference in the ECU not the motor it self =] ive done all of this research, f2 and hiboost are the only options for us 2.0 folk...
let me know how that goes if you end up boosting!! im just too broke

I'm debating if its worth doing or not. Is it even possible to boost our car another 100 HP??? I'd be happy with that (drive2)

I'm questioning if its even worth it - when is the money no longer justified when you are trying to boost a 150 HP car by 100 HP or more? All of those modifications add up - CAI, Header, Catback exhaust, turbo kit, etc etc etc anything and everything to hit 250 HP.

Has anyone out there increased their Mazda 3 2.0L's HP by 100 HP or more? What was your all-in cost (parts and assuming you paid a mechanic for all installs and mods)?

Where is the financial point of diminishing returns in boosting our car where we say "I might as well trade her in and get a MazdaSpeed3 instead". That's what I have to figure out first before I go down the path....

Turbo for 2.0L Mazda 3

I have a 2009 Mazda 3 with an AEM intake (installed myself) $150, CorkSport Exhaust (installed by mechanic) $400+mechanic charge. and now im looking into a t2-t3 turbo. The problem with adding a turbo is you have to rebuild the Transmission to make it a 6 speed or you will just blow it out and then have another $500+ in damage. so you have to understand, putting on a turbo is like 500-1000for the turbo kit and then another like 500-1000 in mechanic charges to rebuild everything. last time i priced it out (over 6+ months ago) it came out between 2500-3500 bucks just to get the turbo and install it.

There is no way in hell that you can put a turbo kit onto a mazda 3 without spending less than 4k. i did it trust me.
